In a green valley enclosed between steep mountainsides, the climbing and winter sports capital of the Valais region is also one of Switzerland's great international resorts. Zermatt is dominated by the definitive mountain, the huge and gracefully curved Matterhorn, making almost any angle a postcard view.
You can't drive to Zermatt. The closest you can get by automobile is a large carpark, about five kilometers from the village, to which there are shuttles by electric vehicles. Trains from Brig deposit passengers right in the village; from here, a rack railroad, funicular, and cableways lift visitors to an endless series of panoramic Alpine views, as well as skiing and hiking trails.

There are many places ideal for relaxation, but some truly drift away from the reality. Located in Zwolle in Overijssel nearby Amsterdam, the village of Giethoorn is far more than a small town.
Those who enjoy walking down the Venetian streets covered by water, will definitely be thrilled to be in this fairy tale-like location. In fact, Giethoorn was nicknamed “the Venice of the Netherlands” – and for good reason!
Over 170 small bridges connect the inhabitants of these small islands. During winter, those who are passionate about ice skating can give it a shot anywhere on the “streets.” Besides winter, the only means of transportation are the so-called “whisper boats,” that have noiseless engines.
So, with no traffic or noisy neighbors, what can one hear in Giethoorn?
Due to the fact that nature has been so well preserved over the years, the entire village looks like a giant park – or, more precisely, a botanical garden. Apart from tourists, who are often amazed by the beauty of the place, the only noise is caused by birds and plants swinging as the wind blows.
The wilderness, the peace and the well-preserved nature give this place a surreal appearance. However, there’s yet another impressive factor: most of the houses built in this area resemble the Medieval architecture – from the large windows to the small, pointy roof. Truely it is a charming beauty!!

I have a weakness for canal cities, and Utrecht is just another stop in my bossom! Utrecht is the lively, beating heart of Holland. It was built around the Dom tower, which you can see from any point in the city, so there is no way you can get lost in the attractive, car-free city centre. Utrecht boasts beautiful canals with extraordinary wharf cellars housing cafés and terraces by the water. As well as the Dom tower, Utrecht boasts hundreds of other monuments that each contribute to the special atmosphere in this centuries-old university town.

Life in the Himalayas!!
The Himalayas is one wonder of nature that has intrigued us for ages. Its high snow-clad mountains, diverse flora and fauna, and scenic ambiance have enchanted one and all. But in all this, we have somehow missed another wonderful aspect of it – its people, to me it is the people that eke out their living in this Beautiful but yet strenuous part of our planet. The mighty Himalayas rise beyond the Indo-Gangetic plain of Northern India, extending through the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand to Northeast India, Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. This entire range of the Himalayan Mountains serves as home to more than 50 million people, with another 450 million settled at the base of it. And this entire population flourishes on the resources that flow from the Himalayas.

Arguably one of the most famous parks in the world, Central Park is a manmade wonder. Not only is it the first public park built in America, but it is also one of the most frequently visited, with over 25 million guests per year.
Set in the middle of bustling Manhattan, its grounds serve as a safe haven, not only for athletes, daydreamers, musicians, and strollers, but also for teems of migratory birds each year. One can spend an entire peaceful day roaming its grounds, gazing upon nearly 50 fountains, monuments, and sculptures or admiring its 36 bridges and arches.
With recreational facilities abounding, the more energetic won’t have a problem finding a spot to skate, pedal, row, dribble, or climb to his or her heart’s delight. Although Central Park has 21 official playgrounds, we like to think of it as one gigantic jungle gym in its peak season.

With its origins in the Bantu language, Etosha translates to “great white place” referencing the near 5 000km² mirage-inducing pan that calls Namibia's 22 750km² Etosha National Park home. Considered one of the largest national parks on the globe and home to over 114 mammal and 340 bird species, this wildlife haven is one of the most easily accessible and adored places to visit in southern Africa. Another striking aspect of the park is the varied vegetation within its area which nourishes countless herds of plains game such as zebra, wildebeest and elephant while also providing refuge for the endangered Black Rhino, Black-faced Impala and Tsessebe.
During the dry season, Etosha’s perennial water sources become crowded with competing wildlife, making this an ideal time for game viewing. The park has six accommodation options: a campsite and five rest camps. Guided bush walks and twice-daily game drives are popular pastimes in the park.

bedouin comes from the Arabic badawī , which means "desert dweller", and is traditionally contrasted with ḥāḍir , the term for sedentary people. Bedouin territory stretches from the vast deserts of North Africa to the rocky sands of the Middle East. They are traditionally divided into tribes, or clans (known in Arabic as ʿašāʾir ; ﻋَﺸَﺎﺋِﺮ ), and historically share a common culture of herding camels and goats. The vast majority of Bedouins adhere to Islam , although there are some fewer numbers of Christian Bedouins present in the Fertile Crescent .

Tbourida is a equestrian performance of Northwestern African origin (Magreb), dating back to the sixteenth century. Tbourida (morrocan) which is known widely in The Magreb region as "Fantasia", simulates a succession of military parades, reconstructed according to ancestral Arab-Amazigh conventions and rituals. Each tbourida is performed by a troupe made up of an odd number of riders and horses (between 15 and 25). The riders line up side by side, with the leader of the troupe in the middle. They often give spiritual significance to the event, performing ablutions and praying collectively beforehand. Under the direction of the leader, the riders and horses perform a parade composed of two principal parts. The first is the hadda, or salute, in which the riders enter the course at a trot and perform an acrobatic arms drill, then reposition themselves at the starting point. This is followed by the talqa, in which the troupes set off again at a gallop and fire a round of blanks from their rifles, simulating a collective departure for war. The riders wear period costumes and accessories, including a turban, draped clothing and oriental slippers. They also carry a small copy of the Koran and an ancient Arab sword. The horses are bridled and saddled with material sewn and decorated in the traditional manner. The riders’ customs and costumes represent their tribe or region, and transmission takes place from generation to generation within families, through oral traditions and by observation.
