*A sight of wonder and an epitome of beauty* IDERE HILLS Those were the words in my head when I was at the peak of Idere hills looking down at all of God’s Creation. The air was fresh, the vegetation below was lush, the skies were so close and the cloud formation was exceptionally beautiful. This was the most beautiful view I had ever experienced in all my years of hiking and I had to take few minutes to shed some tears in awe of the breathtaking view. Idere hills is one of the leading tourist sites in western Nigeria. Located in Ibarapa LGA, Oyo state barely 2 and a half hours from Lagos, It is the perfect destination for a family mountain experience, adventurous vacation or simply a nature getaway. This tourist site has different hills, special rock formations, caves, ancient defence walls, natural pools, and my personal favorite... a summit that makes you feel like you are in heaven. It houses not less than 14 different attractions which a tour guide would guide you through and explain the history of it all. It also brags of being the most visited tourist site of the year 2020. Idere town is very rich in Tourism generally. Culturally & historically ranging from their food, dialect, religion, music, festivals, hills, valleys, mountains, caves, lakes of different sizes, wonderful rock formations, Eco System and so on. It is also about 5 minutes drive from the twin capital of the World, Igboora which is said to record the highest birth of twins in the whole world. Words cannot really express explain the beauty this location has to offer. I have visited twice already and I am hoping my next visit would be to sleep overnight on the hills in camping tents. Of course there are amazing hotels in the vicinity if you're not the camping type. Security is top notch and the people of Idere are also friendly. Having a taste of the local delicacies should be on your list of things to do when you visit. If you're looking for a perfect place to visit this December, then
