There’s so much to explore on this beautiful island. From white sandy beaches to the most surreal hidden caves. Since we only had a handful of days, we had to narrow down our list. Cc @namrata.in
A FEW TO START WITH:
🐬 The infamous dolphins of Mnemba
We purposely stayed in Matemwe for this. After a short boat ride, we were welcomed by a school of dolphins. Swimming with them was the most surreal experience of our trip.
🤿 Snorkeling at Mnemba
Before heading back to the island, we snorkeled around, spotting vibrant creatures that are definitely extras from the Avatar!
🍃 A dip at the Maalum Caves
A very special natural swimming pool that’s perfect to spend some one-on-one time with nature. Luckily, we had it all to ourselves. Get there early!
🦀 A visit to the Rock Restaurant
The infamous restaurant! You need to pre-book to have a meal or drink here. We missed our slot and instead enjoyed a drink at the Upendo which has a fantastic view of the sea and the rock restaurant.
🐚 The Mtende Beach
A quiet cove that’s nestled between rocks. We got here during low tide and took a quick stroll around the reef before heading to the @edenrockzanzibar which offers spectacular sea views and a good margherita.

Tips for feeding Turtles in Zanzibar 🇹🇿;
1. Don’t wear Green! The Turtles will think it’s food and you might get bitten.
2. Come early before the crowd arrives so you can take instagrammable photos. 😉
3. Be mindful of the tide. It is best to come when it is low, usually in the mornings.
