The Edo Peoples Assembly is open to all people of Edo extraction and extended origin and affiliation. The Edo Peoples Assembly (EPA) is the Grass-root Mass movement convened by DR. Obaseki to help engage the people of the EDO State across all tribes, senatorial zones and across all professional and human endeavours. We, as an Association of Edo patriots, shall create a platform where the different socio-cultural and socio-political activities of Edo origin shall come together to meet, strategize, network and learn about our common struggles, provide opportunities for the Edo people and build a social justice and Developmental Mind-set for all Edo People. We are TAKING OVER The POLITICAL SPACE so as to Change the Economic and Social Status of the Edo People. and this is a CLEAR AND PRESENT Imperative! The Edo Peoples assembly (EPA) NEEDS the Moral, Financial and Spiritual support of all WHO dream, hope and Aspire to see an upwardly-mobile, industrialized and developed EDO STATE. EPA is funded by personal and corporate donations and aspire to initiate projects to take our people from the pains of POVERTY to the threshold of PROSPERITY! Our Agenda is S.I.M.P.L.E. A P2P (Poverty To Prosperity) initiative for the greater good of the common Edo man. We need donations in cash, kind, and/or project-sponsorship by well-meaning individuals. Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki, is Nigeria’s foremost Media Guru, Nollywood pioneer, University Lecturer and Edo Cultural ambassador & Icon. A multiple Awardee with experience spanning more than 3 decades, Dr. Obaseki was a Media Arts Lecturer in the Universities of Benin, Ibadan, and several universities in the UK, USA etc. The celebrated playwright & director (whose famous works include IGODO, EZIZA, OBASEKI, AZAGIDI, IDIA etc) has held several positions including Managing Director at DAAR Communications (owners of AIT (African Independent Television), General Manager at DBN TV, Consultant to ABN (African Broadcast Network) in London and to The Kennedy Center, Washington DC. An erudite scholar, visionary and speaker, who became a lecturer at the University of Benin at the age of 21 years. Dr Pedro Obaseki is still an active footballer, and presently Chairman/CEO of ACC Broadcast Multimedia Ltd (operators of WAWOOTV – Nigeria’s 1st Global IPTV multichannel TV service, and the MTN-MobileTV Turnkey Project).
