Thinking of investing here? Want some proof of the Corn Islands' growth in the last few years?
In 2014 (the only Nicaragua airline connecting the rest of the country to Corn Island) added a third daily domestic flight to and from Big Corn Island & Managua, then in 2015 the airport extended the runway to meet status. In early 2017, there were often extra flights (4 or 5 per day) on and off the big island.
A year or two ago you didn't need to pre-book your Big Corn Island flight, but as of mid 2017, you need to book almost a week ahead. Standby lists are often as many as 10-15 people per day (of fretting folks who didn't pre-book and have to hope someone misses the panga from Little Corn so they can catch their connecting flight!). Save yourself the vacation stress and just pre-book. 😎
Plus, coming soon, will welcome its very first from another country: . (Nature Air) There have been several announcements that the first flight would be this month, June 2017, which is very exciting news!
Other factors that will increase Central American tourism in general:
1. flights from U.K. Switzerland to Costa Rica started May 9, 2017. (www.news.co.cr) on Swiss airline Edelweiss Air. "The new flights offer the possibility of an additional 27,000 travelers to fly between the two continents." This is the sixth EU country having direct flights to/from Costa Rica. From there, travellers can just hop on a quick Nature Air flight to Big Corn Island!
2. a new $133M airport for Managua will allow more passengers to be accommodated and the city will receive not just Central American recognition, but global recognition in expanding infrastructure for Nicaragua tourism.

To summarize, is quickly becoming the destination of choice, with being one of the most affordable places to vacation & buy . And, the Corn Islands are the Caribbean's best kept secret....but not for long! 🇳🇮🏝✈️
