een team will know. Just tell them your wishes and they will take it from there. The interior strongly contributes to the experience of Mogeen’s taste and vision by its sophisticated styling. Vintage furniture pieces give soul to the industrial, special designed setting and at the walls there are collages of national and international covers and editorials, achieved by the Mogeen staff. In the air it’s the music that defines the atmosphere. Always an eclectic sound mixed with rock n roll, to stimulate in house talent furthermore to grow. Mogeen carries a spirited, dynamic and personal ambiance. You can drop by for advise on a bad hair day, but also for just a cup of tea and scroll through the big selection of fashion and art magazines. You are just always welcome.

Tomorrow, Thursday 18 February, we will be joining salons around The Netherlands in the movement in the hope to illuminate the struggle faced by our hairdressing industry.
Across the country, salons will be turning on their lights between 18.00 and 20.00 to highlight our fight to stay open. All salons have been forced to close and remain closed since December, but a lot of salons have not received any financial support.
So we hope that through this nationwide movement and by standing together with our fellow hairdressers, our struggle will be recognised and that we will soon be able to turn on our lights and open our doors again to our clients! We miss you so much and appreciate all your amazing support during this challenging time.
We can’t wait to see you soon and let us make you beautiful again❤️🙏🏻

Our Story

As a hairdresser & hairstylist I wanted to make difference within the industry. Travelling the world for many years, working with many different people and having the opportunity to see so many beautiful things inspired me to create a salon where fashion meets hairdressing. A perfect place where people can relax, feel welcome, enjoy their stay and leave happy.

I only needed to find the perfect location and come up with a cool name that reflects what I stand for and that is not too long so people can remember it easily.

Mogeen means Not One. It’s perfect, it’s what I truly belief in. On the Vijzelgracht, in the middle of Amsterdam, I found the perfect spot. An open space with high sealings where I can combine the Salon and the Hairschool. We opened our doors in 2007, starting the dream.

I created an authentic salon. All the materials are carefully chosen and most of the interieur I designed myself. The wood gives a warm and welcome feeling, the steel brings the design element to the salon and the mirrors connect all the different areas. My profound love for antiques, Japanese cherry blossom, plants and flowers are not a secret anymore when you enter Mogeen.

Everything is inspired by nature’s imperfections which makes it perfect as a whole, it’s perfectly imperfect, it’s reflects me as a person, this is my signature.

Being asked to join the authentic beauty movement overfilled me with joy. Not only my signature and philosophy was noticed, I had the opportunity to take it to next level with ABC. Mogeen is an authentic salon that embraces and encourages authentic beauty.

At Mogeen we approach hair in an organic way, when it has been cut it doesn’t necessarily look like it. We belief a crafted haircut is effortless. Craftmanship is what we stand for and everyone is welcome at Mogeen, we have passion for hair and it doesn’t matter what kind of hair you have.

Loving the pure vegan formulas of ABC, the premium quality of the care and styling products, the Japanese inspired packaging, and it’s sustainable and mindful approach offers me and Mogeen the opportunity to make a difference on a whole new level.

I couldn’t be more excited and proud to join the authentic beauty movement, not only as a Global Creative Advocate but with Mogeen as an international Flagship salon as well.
