✨Travel Counsellors unveiled today a fresh new branding that further optimizes the experience of the Travel Counsellors and our customers, and aligns with what makes the organization so special. Meanwhile, we continue to build steadily with record sales and look forward to the 30th anniversary of the TC Group.

The rebranding aims to reflect both our ambitions as Travel Counsellors, and the strong personal relationship with the customer.

It includes a renewed logo in the vibrant color Cherry – the symbol for renewal. It represents togetherness and service and reflects our DNA.

The rebranding has now been implemented on the Travel Counsellors' website, social media channels and within our in-house dynamic packaging, our unique system: Phenix. In addition, the rebranding is reflected in the myTC app, with which customers can personalize their booking and have the Travel Counsellor 'always in their pocket'.

Dave Callan, Customer Director Travel Counsellors UK, explains: "Our core values, community, togetherness and care are all reflected in the look and feel of our new corporate identity. 💛💚 If you have been following my stories during the last few weeks, you probably know that I have just returned from my birth country: BRAZIL.

If you're yet to visit Brazil for the first time, I have put together some highlights, also inspired by a recent booking I have made for Dutch clients. They will embark on a 2-week adventure, which will first take them to nowhere less than THE Marvelous City - Rio de Janeiro. Wide sandy beaches, the bustling atmosphere on the boulevard, the Brazilian samba music and the world-famous Christ statue - this is Rio.

From Rio, they will board a plane to the South of the country to visit the natural wonder which is the Iguaçu Falls. In the middle of a lively jungle of exotic trees, the Brazilian side of the Falls offers a more panoramic view, as well as a close-up and direct view of the largest waterfall in Iguaçu, which is more than 80 meters high. Helicopter tours are also possible for the most amazing views. The next day they will also cross the Iguaçu River onto the Argentinian National Park and take a guided tour which will lead them across the green jungle, above and around many of the 270 waterfalls.

They will then fly to São Paulo and take a transfer through the Costa Verde, one of the most spectacular coastal regions of the country, with jungle-covered mountains, waterfalls, blue ocean, palm trees and golden sands paths, which will lead them to the colonial city of Paraty.

From Paraty, there are transfers available to many other exquisite destinations. They have opted to discover another wonderful Brazilian treasure: the island of Ilha Grande! The island is home to one of the richest ecosystems in the world. I recommend walking the path that leads to Lopes Mendes - which has been voted one of the best beaches in Brazil and the world many times.

This unforgettable journey will end with them taking a boat back to the mainland and a transfer to Rio, where they will board a flight back to Amsterdam!

♻️✨Have you been considering more sustainable ways of traveling?

In this post, I share two unforgettable trip ideas, where more conscious travel is of paramount importance.

Reach the most beautiful places by train and discover these destinations with an electric car. You can also make well-considered choices in terms of accommodation. At Travel Counsellors we also work with the Green Leaf label, which stands or accommodations that meet sustainability standards recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

1) Be inspired by a train trip to Puglia and the Amalfi Coast - Traveling by train is not only more sustainable, but often more fun! As an example, take the train to Bari, located in the heel of the Italian boot. Pick up an electric car there and be surprised by the magical Matera, the Amalfi Coast and Alberobello with hundreds of enchanting trulli (white limestone houses)

Or....

2) Choose Sicily where you can discover the gems of the area by electric car. Escape the crowds and take a unique tour of the island. Drive from Ragusa to Castelbuono and Riposto. You will find a lot of history, architecture and gastronomic delights here. Enjoy nature and culture with respect for the environment and local economy.

This is one of the hidden secrets in the Caribbean. St Eustatius is a pristine, authentic island, rich in cultural history and a great destination for diving. 🏝🌞

Ultimate enjoyment of St. Eustatius is possible at the foot of a dormant volcano at the Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort, the first and only luxury resort on the island. 🇵🇪 The government of Peru has reopened Machu Picchu since mid-February. The famous location in the Andes is also the country's main tourist attraction. 🇵🇪

Due to unrest in the country, Machu Picchu could not be visited by tourists since mid-January. Luckily, an agreement has now been reached between the authorities, the tourism industry and local leaders to ensure safety on the ground and on the way there.🏳🕊

Whether you wish to hike one of the many available routes of the Inca Trail, take a train from Cusco or a bus from Aguas Calientes, this Wonder of the World is a must-visit! 🚶‍♂️🚍🚉🌄⛰️

Although visitation is possible throughout the year, the best time to visit this archeological site is between April and September, which is the dry season.

🏝 The Island of Eternal Spring 🏝

The largest of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife, is an idyll with a remarkable variety of geographic options. It boasts the highest peak in Spain – Mt. Teide. The volcano divides the island in two, the Cultural North and the Bustling South. In the lush and tropical north end of the island you will find Spanish colonial cities such as the UNESCO world heritage city, La Laguna and fishing village of Garachico. When traveling to the South you will find golden sand beaches and vibrant coastal towns. The island’s varied topography offers a plethora of options for the adventurer. I can hardly believe but it has already been 3 years.

My own small business but with the strength of a powerful organization behind me. I have therefore the technology, the contracts, the buying power, the liability and all assurances for myself and customers via Travel Counsellors.

Besides the most obvious challenge, the pandemic, it is a business that also relies on people understanding the value of service and being able to delegate. To be honest, where there’s the need to have a sparing partner, tips, advise, inspiration and if it’s not your hobby to spend private hours on the search, there’s no better quality cost balance than using a personal travel consultant. It’s a true win win formula. It can not get much better but it works best for both sides when:

1- the need exists- if you cannot let go and need and want badly to search yourself; go for it. I completely understand. If you’re happy to spend the time and the effort, the added value of a travel consultant is significantly less indeed. Not to say that it doesn’t exist. It does. If you bring me a name of a hotel and room type and I only have to book for you, I might have a great price for you and you have someone to ask your questions as well.

2- the client understands that we are not the internet or quotation making machines - we spend time and effort and make a personal plan, and do not appreciate someone using our proposal to afterwards book online. It’s not fair and correct. We are happy to adapt, review and arrive together at your perfect plan, but we are not there to make offers that will become a free itinerary. That is misuse of our expertise and entails free service. We are entrepreneurs and literally sell the expertise and time is also our commodity.

I’m constantly recycling knowledge, doing site inspections, attending to fairs; and thrilled to offer my expertise to your service for the past 3 years.
