Nectar, originally launched in 2006 as Callisto, has begun her sea trials today following an extensive makeover in the Netherlands. Always relying on Feadship's renowned excellence for refits and services, this 65.20-metre long yacht has received a luxurious interior upgrade, a fresh coat of paint, and numerous technical enhancements. Nectar is now ready to embark on new adventures, shining brighter than ever.

Feadship A-Z | The letter of today is G and the corresponding Feadship term is General Arrangement. Look closely at the GAs of superyachts from the same yard and you will often see many similarities. The owners of the Feadship Sea Owl explained how this brought them to Feadship: “Every Feadship has a personality. On other yachts you can walk from one part to another and discern no real difference; everything is identical. The galley is the galley on whichever boat you go from that particular brand; with another brand you find that the staircase is always in the same place in the saloon. You can instantly identify the yard from the layout, regardless of size, and that is not what we wanted from a bespoke boat. We wanted something different for every single aspect of our superyacht.” -Z

Let us show you to the most striking feature of 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢, the 80-metre Feadship currently in build: the beach club. Crowned by a magnificent swimming pool flanked by sunpads and a sliding companionway, this pool reveals a central staircase descending under its glass bottom to the beach club on the lower deck. The sunken, tatami-style oasis with a bar can be opened on three sides, creating a social space of 165 square metres intimately connected with the sea. Advanced computer simulations were used to carefully study the forces on the structure, ensuring that the hull doors are designed as large as possible. In fact, Feadship has never built such an expansive, open-plan beach club before.

Project 1012, the first Feadship with full Hybrid Electric Class notation and a length of 91.80 metres, is on her way to her sea trials. Her propulsion plant and onboard energy management system were developed using state-of-the-art Feadship technology.

Project 713 has a beautifully balanced exterior profile designed by Studio De Voogt and her contemporary interior design is by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. With her elegant blue-grey hull, optimised for cruising speed instead of top speed, advanced diesel-electric propulsion, and the ability to run on non-fossil HVO, the yacht is also the first Feadship to carry the most efficient solar cells for auxiliary power generation. Another big step on Feadship’s roadmap to net zero!

Feadship A-Z | The letter of today is B and the corresponding Feadship term is Bespoke. This refined word has its origins in the clothing industry, where it used to refer solely to made-to-measure suits for gentlemen. Feadships are created for men and women of course, but we certainly take a bespoke line with all our projects. You might even compare the blank piece of paper upon which every Feadship first comes to life to the way in which a tailor takes a chosen material as the template for his craft. The tailor uses a pin, we start with a pencil. -Z

A Feadship is a superyacht built by Feadship in the Netherlands. The brand Feadship is an abbreviation for First Export Association of Dutch SHIPbuilders, a name which was first coined in 1949 to unite the biggest names in Holland’s yachtbuilding industry, including the yards Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw and Royal Van Lent Shipyard, and De Voogt Naval Architects. All three companies now operate exclusively under the Feadship name.

Today the hull of Project 827 arrived at the Feadship outfitting facility in Amsterdam. Project 827 started her journey in Rotterdam and was transported via the North Sea to Amsterdam, where she will enter the gigantic shed.
Although the 71.76-metre yacht is far from finished, we can see the clear lines of the Studio De Voogt design.

SPLASH | Project 821, with her stunning 118.80 metres, is using one of the most efficient and cleanest fuels: hydrogen. Feadship's R&D team has been researching hydrogen, among other fossil-free fuel options, as part of the company's pledge to develop "net zero" yachts by 2030. Although there are hydrogen fuel cells in use for more than six decades in other areas, nothing existed in the maritime sector up to this moment.
Project 821’s pioneering fuel cell technology can provide an entire week's worth of silent operation at anchor or navigating emission-free at 10 knots while leaving harbours or cruising in protected marine zones with their only exhaust being pure water.

An expression coined by the highly respected writer Jack Somer to describe the elements of a Feadship that you cannot usually see or hear but that are an essential part of the Feadship experience. Within the bulkheads, under the floors, above the overheads, behind the fine furniture, in the engine room, below the bridge console – everywhere – there is ‘hidden gold’ that makes a Feadship a Feadship. These intangible qualities are well known to the owner and crew members onboard a Feadship. It’s the way that the yacht feels like a Feadship.
