Sailors dread Cabo de La Vela & Punta Gallinas in Colombia due to treacherous winds , waves and non-surveyed area’s

But if you have a chance to get there ?
This is Bahia Hondita (and yes we cheated , it ‘only’ took 4 hours with a launcha and 2 hours w/ a 4x4 from Cabo de la vela going north)

Daughter : a dress what ? Why would I tie something around your neck ! That limits bloodflow to your brain , that’s dangerous ! Possibly hurts your brain

Arrived safe and sound in Santa Marta Colombia
Sadly ‘our’ Evelien / crew left us today and she is on her way to Guatemala via Cartagena , San Blas , Panama City etc

As always boat work continues and we’ve been saving up some of our ‘to do’ lists for Santa Marta where skills are available and relatively affordable

- boat polishing and waxing (in progress)
- new cushion covers (in progress)
- stainless steel welding (done)
- stainless steel fabricating (in progress)
- meeting old friends , sharing drinks (in progress)
- ordering and installing starlink (in progress)
- fixing freezer (in planning stages)
- dinghy cover made (in progress)
- eating steaks as big as your plate (done and in progress)
- buying 1000 cans of beer , 40 liters wine (in progress)
- hot sauce challenge for kids (done)

Slowly we’re getting there again !
