Tiger II at the Bastogne Barracks during the NUTS festival in 2024
Today we visited the Bastogne Barracks and saw the TIGER II tank drive around and what an incredible sight that was! The guest had the time to explore the Barracks and then the Nuts festival in Bastogne for a more leisurely day on this tour. Guiding for The National WWII Museum and Battlefield Discovery
The Boeing hall in the National WWII Museum has a impressive collection of planes, including a P-51, B-17, B-25 and more. You can get very close to the planes if you are not afraid of heights.
At the last stop of the day, all the vehicles are parked at a square in Middelrode. We are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of this village during Operation Alan.

The C-47 is taxiing for take off with a full load of paratroopers. Second flight to the Ginkel Heath near Arnhem today and two 13 person sticks on board. That will be quite the sight to see!

At Eindhoven Airport watching the C-47 take off with paratroopers and fly to the Ginkel Heath near Arnhem for the commemorative drop. In this video they are starting the engines, what a sight and what a sound!
Attending the 80th commemorations in Arnhem, this takes place at the foot of the John Frost bridge in the Airborne square and it is absolutely packed, glad to see that the commemorations are still going strong.
