How lucky we were to have been able to stay at Mark's place! The house is indeed superb, the photos are not up to the truth. A house where life is good, each terrace is very warmly furnished without forgetting the garden which is sublime! The staff, Kadek, the gardeners and not forgetting the fabulous Putu make the stay more "wow", extremely kind and very attentive. The location of the house makes the stay all the more authentic because it is located at the end of a long cul-de-sac that overlooks a mountain that the father explored from top to bottom and where we were all able to admire the sunset. And during the walk in the dead end, we were able to rub shoulders with local life with its inhabitants. We didn't have the chance to meet Mark but through his house and his books, we discovered a generous man of great humanity. Mark, it is with pleasure that we would welcome you to our humble home! This exchange is much more than a home exchange, thank you so much Mark!

This stay at Mark's place is almost indescribable as it was so magical for us. When Mark pre-approved and then approved the exchange, we didn't believe it... Once there it was .... Fairy. The villa is spacious, quiet in a real green paradise where frogs and gekos give melody. The staff is so endearing. Kadek cooks very, very well; from breakfast, to lunch to dinner. Putu, the manager took care of us. The villa is located in Pemuteran, an area in the northwest still wild, authentic and quiet. Very close to Menjangan Island which is an underwater paradise. Very close to Java. We were able to go there to do the Kawa Ijen... An ascent to be made as the blue flames are a unique phenomenon in the world. We can only recommend this house, Mark's generosity, the friendliness of the locals. The goodbyes were emotionally charged. We know that this paradise exists... See you again.
