We find a job for you, make all the arrangements on your behalf and ensure a flawless stay so you can have the carefree time of your life! China Gap works with reliable partner agencies in China to find a great place for you to work. You can live and work in China for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months. All participants must sign up at least 3 months prior to departure for China. If you stay for 12 months, you will be reimbursed for your round-trip flight, reducing your travel costs to zero! Most employers and host families are located in Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai, but we also have contacts in other parts of China. AU PAIR PROGRAM:
As an au pair you will take part in the everyday life of a Chinese family. Your responsibilities will be to look after the child (most Chinese families have only one child) and help with simple household duties. In return you will receive a private room, free meals, pocket money (1000RMB), Chinese courses, Insurance, and more. Your duties and working hours will vary depending on the ages of the child(ren) and the family’s needs, but typically au pairs work 30 hours per week and have two days off. As an au pair, you will not be just a tourist or a spectator; instead you will experience China like you never thought possible. ENGLISH TEACHER PROGRAM:
To work as a teacher in China, you do not necessarily need a teaching certificate. You need to have studied English, and you must be able to speak and write fluently in English. China Gap will find a school that fits you, arrange the paperwork and ensure a flawless stay. While working as an English teacher at a Chinese school, what you do exactly depends on the needs of the school. Typically teachers work approximately 35 hours per week, between 6 and 7 hours per day. In exchange, teachers are provided with a furnished room, free meals, pocket money (2000RMB), Chinese lessons, insurance, and more. HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY PROGRAM:
