I am a visual designer and musician from Woerden, the Netherlands, with an unhealthy passion for guitars. I’m the kind of guy who wants every little detail on my guitars to be just right, down to the nuts and screws. And hereby a suitable guitar strap is no exception. The problem is, however, that I’m always having trouble finding the ideal strap. Whether it would be the materials used, the shape
of the ends, the overall feel or simply the length, I regularly find things in them that I would change to meet my demands. With this thought in mind, it was time to take matters into my own hands. My small one-man business is titled Howl Guitar Straps. Inspired by 60s and 70s straps, I create vintage styled straps with the addition of a couple benefits such as sturdier materials, modern length and several customization options to meet your demands. Every strap is carefully handcrafted with a traditional hand-stitching technique and using the finest materials. With recycled seatbelt as the base, quality trimmings, durable leather ends and top-notch thread, these straps are made to insure enjoyment for years to come. I’m constantly on the lookout for usable fabrics to create new and interesting straps. Original 60s produced trimming or new stock, I use just about every fabric I can get my hands on which will work.
