The Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg was designed by Manfred Lehmbruck for the collection of his father, the sculptor Wilhelm Lehmbruck. The building is located in the Kantpark and opened in 1964. The great glass hall was inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s steel frame construction method. The museum was extended in 1987, also designed by Manfred Lehmbruck.
