🇳🇱 2024 is gestart en achter de schermen werken we hard om weer een prachtig corso op de weg te krijgen in april.

We nemen je mee in een kort overzicht:

In maart worden de wagens bekend gemaakt.

Woensdag 17 en donderdag 18 april zijn er weer de opbouwdagen in de Klinkenberghallen in Sassenheim.

Vrijdag 19 april rijden de wagens naar Noordwijkerhout voor het verlicht corso.

Zaterdag 20 april is corso zaterdag. Dan rijden we door de streek.

En 21 april staat alles opgesteld in Haarlem.

Alvast een verrassing. We gaan weer twee kaarten weggeven voor de sneak preview in maart.

🇬🇧 We’re off! 2024 has started and our volunteers are hard at work behind the scenes preparing for this year’s flower parade.

A short overview of what is in the planning:

The designs for the floats will be announced in early March during the Sneak Preview.

On 17th and 18th the floats will be decorated with the millions of bulb flowers in Klinkenberghallen in Sassenheim. The hall is open for visitors. (Check our website for details).

Early afternoon on 19th April the floats leave the hall and drive to Noordwijkerhout for the illuminated evening parade.

20th April is the day we have all been waiting for. The floats, marching bands and decorated vehicles drive the 42 km from Noordwijk to Haarlem through the bulb district towns.

On 21st April the floats can be admired one final time in the centre of the floral city of Haarlem.

We will soon be giving away 2 tickets for the sneak preview in March. Watch our channels for details!

Keukenhof zoekt voorwerpen voor jubileum-tentoonstelling🌷

In 75 jaar is er door een groot aantal mensen met enthousiasme gewerkt om de bloemententoonstelling uit te bouwen tot wat het nu is: Keukenhof. Keukenhof opende haar deuren in 1950 en is sindsdien uitgegroeid tot een wereldwijd fenomeen dat al generaties lang de harten steelt. Voor de jubileumtentoonstelling zijn we op zoek naar bijzondere objecten uit de 75-jarige geschiedenis van Keukenhof.

De tentoonstelling wordt een plek om terug te kijken naar Keukenhof van 1949 tot het park nu. Heb je items die je Keukenhof zou willen schenken of in bruikleen kunt geven, meld je collectie aan via onderstaande link of neem contact op met de organisatie.

Coach newsletter - July 2023

From 24 July to 10 November the Berlagebrug bridge will be closed for traffic. Only cyclists and pedestrians will be able to use a temporary bridge. Cars and other motorized traffic must take a detour during the roadworks. Please take into account that the Vrijheidslaan / Amsteldijk crossing will be completely closed for motorized traffic during most of the construction period. Detours and closures are marked on amsterdam.nl/berlagebrug and amsterdam.nl/amsteldijk.

Accessibility affected by Pride Walk 22 July
The Pride Walk takes place in the afternoon of Saturday 22 July and will cause parts of the city centre to be less accessible. The Pride Walk is a walk from Dam Square, via Raadhuisstraat, Marnixstraat, Leidseplein and Hobbemakade to the Museumplein and will be held from 12:00 to 15:00.

Progress of pilot regarding stops and buffer locations
From 3 August the second phase of the pilot will be held regarding the stops and buffer locations on the S100. The stewards (traffic controllers) will still be there to manage the traffic flow and to collect data. During this second phase we will test the Rhijnspoorplein stop as a buffer location. At this location coaches will have 3 places to stop for a maximum of 15 minutes ( = to buffer), and 1 place will remain available for stopping. We will measure the effect this experiment has on other stops on the S100.
The third phase starts on 1 September. This is when we will install countdown clocks at the stopping locations Leidsebosje, Hobbemakade and Blueboat. These countdown clocks will show the exact stopping time in order to improve the through-flow at the stops.

Asphalt maintenance works Coentunnel traject A10 West
During the last 2 weekends of July the lanes’ top layers will be replaced with new asphalt. This will cause disruptions in the following places.
From Friday 21 July 21:00 to Monday 24 July 05:00 closure: A10 right 26,3 – 28,9
From Friday 28 July 21:00u to Monday 31 July 05:00 closure: A10 left 28,4 - 26,3

Exemptions from new coach policy
A new policy regarding coaches will take effect from January 2024. Coaches weighing more than 7.5 metric tonnes will no longer be allowed to cross the S100 (into the centre) without a special exemption. The only exception is the Weesperstraat - Valkenburgerstraat – Kattenburgerstraat corridor where heavy coaches may still drive.
Applying for an exemption for coaches weighing more than 7.5 tonnes to drive within the S100 will be made possible before the policy takes effect. You may only apply if the exemption is meant for transporting school children, people with disabilities, elderly people and artists; and only when they are going to or from educational, cultural or artistic venues. You will be able to apply for the following exemptions:
1-day exemption
1-year exemption
1-year exemption with route check (in case of deviating from the wide roads)
In addition, we offer a special destination exemption if you can prove that exceptional circumstances make one necessary. In the last quarter of 2023 we will provide more information about applying for exemptions.

Stel jouw reisprofiel in en weet wat er speelt. Plan je reis met de bereikbaarheidsagenda en kijk hoe je slim en snel in, door een naar Amsterdam reist.

Zoals jullie zien eten de kleintjes al het groen wat ze leren eten en krijgen gevoerd in het water van hun ouders. Hier worden ze sterk en gezond van. Dus geen brood wat weer voor ons juist bestemd is geven hoor.😉👍

In twintig talen nam het Keukenhof-team woensdag 10 mei afscheid van buswacht Jan Wassenaar. Een fleurig vertrek voor zijn jarenlange inzet voor Bloemententoonstelling Keukenhof.

🇳🇱 De eerste praalwagen is op het eindpunt aangekomen. Wat was het een feest om zo Gemeente Haarlem binnen te rijden. Dank voor de warme ontvangst.

Wat hebben we een fantastische dag gehad. In elk dorp en stad was het een groot feest toen het Bloemencorso Bollenstreek binnen reed. Dank aan alle vrijwilligers die mee hebben geholpen aan dit prachtige Bloemencorso.

De wagens zijn nog morgen te bewonderen in Haarlem.

De wagen van Proeftuin Noordwijk is morgen te beworderen in de Gemeente Noordwijk.

En zet alvast in je agenda: 20 april 2024 dan rijden wij het 77ste bloemencorso🪻

The float from the municipality of Noordwijk can be admired in Noordwijk.

Next year our 77e Bloemencorso Bollenstreek will ride on 20th April 2024.
