Not so long ago we had quite a special experience, dogsledding on the "Lysløype" skitracks in Skjervøy. The weather conditions did not allow us to go dogsledding in Reisadalen, so the dogs were transported all the way to Skjervøy special for us to make the dreams of our guests come true.😎

Last week the weather was crazy, we had the feeling that the strong wind was everlasting and because of the wind we could not go out on the water for a couple of days. But patience is key, and sometimes patience gets rewarded... And on the last day of this trip we got the reward! And how... So impressive to see a huge group of humpback whales (30-40 animals) passing by. Humpback whales can grow up to 16 metres and weigh up to 30.000 kg (!!). The lungs can hold approximately 5000 litres of air. The sound of them breathing gives me goosebumps every time!🤩🐋🐳

Today we saw sooooo many whales, literally the whole fjord was invaded by them. I think in total there were 300 orcas and 100 humpback whales, and they gave us an amazing show again!🤩🤩🐋🐳🇳🇴🩷 Really thankful for this magical day!

Finally the whale season 2024/2025 has started for us! And how...! First day out on the water and we were surrounded by our beloved orcas and humpback whales😍🐳🐋

Just about yesterday...😁 Nice day out with the family. We try to teach the children as many things as possible about nature, and also about the edible things you can find in nature. You can see in photo 5 that it is not always easy to see the difference. The berries are from 2 different plants, but see how much they look alike. And this is not the only example. Fortunately, both are edible in this case, but that is of course not always the case.

The main rules that we teach the children are:

1. Don't put things in your mouth without adult permission.

2. If in any doubt, don't eat!

All in all, another fun and educational day👍😁

Rafting isn't fun if you didn't almost drown they say🤣🤣🤪 Quite a bumpy ride it was, and some of us went swimming. But luckily everybody survived, and that made it a beautiful day!😎🥳🥳
