The first sailing into Geirangerfjorden for this year
Summer season is back! Today MS Nordkapp had it’s first sailing to Geiranger for this year. And how lucky we were to meet the beautiful seven sisters again 😍
Arctic Circle Crossing
We owe you some footage of our latest Arctic Circle Crossing. A nice exercise is to hopp over the Arctic Circle. We believe it avoids taking the bad weather with you wherever you are heading to. Have you tried it?
Meeting MS Otto Sverdrup
Look who we met today in Honningsvåg! It was a pleasure to meet you MS Otto Sverdrup! Did you know that some of our sister ships also sail routes along the coast starting from Hamburg or even sailing further to Svalbard?
Leaving Svolvær
Leaving Svolvær and sailing towards the Raftsund with the sun hiding behind the mountains. Guess which highlight we will go to visit next?!
Meeting MS Polarlys
After tasting delicious Fenalår from Hellesylt our on deck, we me the southbound Hurtigrute MS Polarlys. Today, it was a silent passing. Do you like to be our on deck waving at the other ships?
Helgeland was beautiful with the sunshine today. In Brønnøysund we visited Torghatten, the famous mountain with the hole. Don’t you think the view is breathtaking?
Approaching Raftsundet, our connection between Vesterålen and Lofoten.
Starting the day with welcoming back out excursion busses in Sortland. Very windy, but that makes the flag waving even more fun!
Midnight Sun Tromsø
Today the sun is shining all day for us. After two days in the Barents Sea with waves and even snow, we enjoy calmer sea and even a glimpse of the midnight on our way to Tromsø on the southbound voyage. Have you experienced the midnight sun?
Honningsvåg
After sunny days south of the Arctic Circle, we were surprised by wind, rain and even snow on our trip further up north. Luckily, the snow clouds gave us a break once in a while so that we can share the beautiful view over Honningsvåg with you. Do you like the view?
Bessaker
Thank you for having us Bessaker! On our national day we payed a visit to the small community of Bessaker and tried to get as close as possible to the pier where many of the 169 inhabitants were waiting for us to wave flags. Bessaker, you are wonderful 😍
17th of may parade
Yesterday, we celebrated the Norwegian national day and Norway’s constitution. After the flag hoisting, we had our own tiny parade with the captain and guests outside on deck. Have you been onboard celebrating the 17th of may?
Ålesund
Today we visited one of the most beautiful towns in Norway: Ålesund - it is very famous for the Art Nouveau architecture and the beautiful views from the different mountain tops. What did you like most about Ålesund?
And that’s how we start a new voyage: With a fresh breeze outside on deck in the sunshine, enjoying the Sail Away from Bergen. Who would not like to join us for this?
Svolvær was lovely the other day with sunshine, calm sea and sounds of seabirds. We can feel that spring is coming to the North. Are you ready for the spring season with us?
One of the big highlights during our previous voyage: the reopening of the Svartsundet for the Hurtigruten. MS Nordkapp was the first ship since 2007 sailing this breathtaking “shortcut” on the southbound sailing to reach the mouth of the Trollfjord (with excemption MS Lofoten)
Another highlight: the Sea Eagle Safari where over 70 sea eagles were observed and which even made a detour into the Trollfjord.
Won’t believe us? Then come and join us on one of our sailings.
Greeting the buses on the "taste of Vesterålen" excursion when they drive across the Sortland bridge as we sail under the bridge.
Hello Kristiansand! 👋 Yesterday, MS Nordkapp arrived at Kristiansand to go into the dry dock. It was a very windy sailing to get here and the upcoming days will be very busy to get the ship ready.
Wonderful sunset atmosphere in Brønnøysund two days ago - soon the days are getting bright enough for our sailings to see the hole in Mount Torghatten. 🤩
A couple of days ago we had lovely weather during our visit to Honningsvåg meeting MS Trollfjord. Many of our guests also had the possibility to visit the North Cape. Have you been to the North Cape?
