1. Croatia’s flag is one of the oldest national flags in the world, dating back to the 10th century.

There is no doubting the biggest surprise of my two recent trips to Dalmatia - Makarska. What has been built cannot easily be unbuilt, but what a fabulous story of effective change in the last two years, especially in the majestic old town.
