Have you ever tasted cloudberries? 🍓🫐

Berry picking is a popular activity in Vadsø, and the neighbouring region. The town is surrounded by areas which provide ideal conditions for various types of berries to grow. Among them, cloudberries are one of the most sought-after by locals and visitors alike, as it is a typical berry growing in Nordic countries. Cloudberries are yellow-orange berries that resemble raspberries, but have a distinct sweet flavor. They are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, and are used to make jams, juices, liqueurs, and desserts.

Correct answer: c) ! 😍 It's the Polar Day here and more than a month will pass before the next sunset!

Even if it's summer, and the Midnight Sun is 24/7 in the sky here in Vadsø, that doesn't mean we can (always) wear our shorts and T-shirts! Sometimes we do need our jackets and even a hat or a hoodie to cover our heads from the - sometimes - cold and strong winds! So make sure you don't forget to pack these if you're planning us a visit during summer 😉

Yesterday night, Earth was hit by a strong geomagnetic storm and the Aurora was seen from much more southern place across Europe! 🌌

In Aurora Labs' Aurora Forecast app, there were thousands of successful reports from as south as:
- Brest and Nantes (France)
- Siegen (Germany)
- Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger (Norway)
- Aalborg (Denmark)
- Liepaja (Latvia)
- Klaipeda (Lithuania)
- Tallinn (Estonia)
- Stockholm (Sweden)
- Gdansk (Poland)

(The geomagnetic storm continues, at a lower level, even as I write this publication!)
