GET Norway Travel er opprettet som en del av GET Africa Travel som i over 21 år har skreddersydd drømmereiser for nordmenn til Afrika. Nå har vi overført våre kunnskaper om nordmenns reisevaner, skreddersøm, personlig service og kunnskap om reisemål til et unikt konsept i Norge. Ideen

om å skreddersy reiser i denne delen av verden er ikke ny. I 2011 reiste Elin og Graham til Svalbard og lekte med tanken om å skreddersy ekstreme reiser fra sør til nord. Planlegg langreist til Afrika og kortreist i Norge med oss! 🌍

Did you know that fjord is an ancient Viking-term related to the phrase for “where you travel across” or the word “ferry” 🇳🇴 🌸

The nature surrounding these fjords are spectacular. Often massive mountains with waterfalls and glaciers. Back in the days you could find settlements with farms and churches in these steep mountain sides.

Today the best way to experience this overwhelming beauty is by by hiking or cruising on the fjords! 🌍

Welcome to the beautiful Villa Haugen Boutique Hotel in Steigen 🇳🇴

The Villa is located on the island Grøtøy with a view of the Lofoten archipelago. Explore the area by hiking the spectacular mountains, kayaking in clear water or in a boat looking for sea eagles or fishing 🦅 🎣

The owners, John Magne and Unni, are chefs and hosts and will definitely spoil you with delicious food during your stay 😍

Beautiful puffins at Runde 🐧🇳🇴
Hike up the mountain, or go on a boat safari to the bird cliff at Runde. Runde is a spectacular bird conservation area outside Ålesund ⛰️

The puffins can be seen during the breeding season, which lasts from April to the beginning of August ☀️

Happy Sami National Day! The day is celebrated in memory of the first Sami national meeting which took place in Trondheim on 6. February 1917.

The Sami people are the indigenous people of Norway. Originally living in the northern part of Norway and close to the arctic nature. The Sami people have a unique culture, traditions and their own languages.

We met Mikkel Per, a reindeer herder from Alta, and his reindeers in Alta. The reindeers provides him with meat, fur for cloths, and in the old days they were used for transportation 🦌
