They say the average honeymoon is now $5,000. But let's also remember that the cost of everything seems to be increasing. So how do you plan a honeymoon?
PART 1
1. Sit down with your partner and talk about where you want to go, how long can you go for? I always suggest choosing 3 places (that is if you have several on your list) We can help you decide which one would be the best fit for your budget.
2. Things to consider. Airfare, hotel, resort or All Inclusive? Cruise? in the USA or out of Country. Car rental and lets not forget all those little fees we seem to have no matter where we travel (ex; resort fees)
3. Cruising is one good choice. For one cost you get a place to sleep, all the food you can eat, entertainment, drinks (although there is an extra fee to upgrade your drink package) and you wake up and in the morning you can be at a new destination. Not to mention all the excursions you can book for a fee.
4. All Inclusive Resorts - Again all you can eat and drink, daily entertainment, usually within walking distance to many places (shopping etc) beautiful beaches and excursions you can purchase.
3. Europe offers you the chance to rent a car or take the train to go from town to town and sight see.
4. And lastly my last topic. PASSPORTS. If you are leaving the country and don't have one now is the time to apply. It is easy to do ( I can help walk you thru it) and if you already have one PLEASE make sure it hasn't expired. Some countries require that your passport be valid at least six months beyond the dates of your trip.
Things I will ask you when we talk. Of course BUDGET what is it? (stay tuned on part 2). How long do you want to go? What kind of hotel would you like to stay in ( standard, a suite or?) What do you want to do ? food and wine tours? relaxation? Adventure? Mountains or beaches, Big city or countryside, USA or out of the Country. Let us do all the work for you! It is so easy with the internet to go down "that" rabbit hole and spend hours searching only to be more confused and frustrated than when you started.
