Another wildly successful season in the books & today we're sharing some favourite imagery from our final 24/25 sailing: Pacific Latin America — Diverse Landscapes And Cultures

We sailed from vibrant Valparaiso, along coastal towns of Chile, experienced the world's driest non-polar desert, enjoyed small town stops with authentic Peruvian cuisine, and took in the culture of Metropolitan Lima. We finished the voyage with a few very special visits to Peru's Isla Foca & remote Cebaco Island in Panama. South American sea lions, S***m whales, multiple dolphin species, Inca terns, Green turtles & Blue-footed bo***es were some of our most notable wildlife sightings!

We've now begun drydock in Panama for maintenance and ship rebranding, and will be very excited to invite you all back on board to kick off our Arctic season in Reykjavik this May! On behalf of the entire MS Fram crew & HX Expeditions, a big thanks to all of you for your continued support. We greatly look forward to what our 25/26 Arctic/Antarctic itineraries have in store!

Waking up to pink skies and calm seas in Paradise Bay does not get any better.
This morning we landed in Brown Station where we could enjoy the magnificent scenery.
We then made our way to Wilhelmina Bay for our afternoon expedition boat cruising.
What a nicer farewell to the Antarctic peninsula for our guest than to be joined by a big number of curious humpback whales. 😍

INCREDIBLE! AMAZING! SPECTACULAR!
Our day did not start the way it was supposed to… this morning we were unable to land due to ice and waves so we started to make our way south. On our way to the Gullet ( narrow channel between the eastern extremity of Adelaide Island and the west coast of Graham Land ) we crossed path with a large pod of orcas and humpback whales.
Later on as our way was blocked by ice in the channel we dropped our expedition boats for cruising and kayaking.
And if you thought the day could not get better what about Ice landing 😍
Today we were the most southern ship !

What a treat ! The weather and the conditions were perfect today.🤩
Our day started by the pick up of our campers that spent the night under clear sky, no wind , whales and penguins activities around …
We then made our way through the Lemaire Channel after a brief meeting with MS F. Nansen under the sublime morning light.
Later on we landed at Neko harbour whilst some of our guests enjoyed the afternoon activities such as kayaking, science boat and photo cruising.

The weather on our side all day, we were amazed by the scenery. This morning we were in Yalour enjoying small boat cruising and kayaking whilst discovering the remaining Adelie penguins. This afternoon our primary landing site was blocked by the ice so we changed plan and went to Pleneau instead.
This evening 30 of our brave camper left us to spend the night in this incredible surrounding.

Yesterday we cruised amongst incredible icebergs on arrival to Antarctica ! This morning we were welcomed at our first continental landing site in Orne Harbor by some inquisitive whales. Some went to the top whilst others enjoyed our activities such as kayaking and science boat.
Later on we enjoyed our small boat cruising and the peace of Wilhelmina bay only disturb by the sound of many humpback whales feeding around us.

Today was our last day of the season in South Georgia and what a day it was! We spent our morning in Saint Andrew’s Bay known as the largest king penguins colony of the island.
Later on this afternoon we enjoyed the beautiful sailing through Cooper’s sound admiring the icebergs and the wildlife around us.

In the traces of The Great Man…

Fortuna Bay is without a doubt the most well-known landing location in South Georgia, for various reasons. The abundance of wildlife is almost too much to process, the caribbean-blue bay is surrounded by cragged mountain tops which frame the once majestic König Glacier. But History wins the price here: In the year 1916 three men arrived at one end of the valley and disappeared over the pass on the other side.
Only a few miles more, and, after an undescribable ordeal, Ernest Shackleton, Frank Worsley and Thomas Crean made it to Stromness. These few miles became known as the “Shackleton Hike” in the business and is the most frequented walk on the island.
Yesterday, none of our guests who took this path forgot that these miles are a mere nothing compared to the original walk, but it gives you such a feeling for history if you are privileged to do it!
Our ship, in the meantime, wrapped up the landing in Fortuna and transferred gently over to the other side, just in time to see the hikers come across the mountain pass and down into the riverbed. Tired and happy everybody met back on board.

This morning gave everyone the opportunity to honour this polar hero at the most suitable spot - his grave in Grytviken. Here he lies, right next to his best friend Frank Wilde, after passing away 6 years after his great expedition on the expedition ship Quest, and suitably - on South Georgia…
The museum in Grytviken tells a large part of the story with a great many exhibits, bringing the most popular Antarctic expedition to life again.
Under the blue skies of Cumberland Bay we finished our penultimate day on the island. And by tomorrow we will be gone, for winter is coming to the South.
