After 3x Private Aurora Chases for the family on 3 from Thailand, I did the 4th little special for them today 😊

First a sightseeing in the Lyngen Alps with a ferry crossing, then to our Toblerone mountain … before we stop for a better dinner and then chase the lights back to the city 😎

A new Private Aurora Chase Combo is created: Choose between Lyngen Alps or the Magic island of Senja … an restaurant dinner is included too 😊

My dear lovely guests ... all who has joined me the past 27 years, and for you all the new one 😉

ARE YOU READY FOR A CHANGE ??

Strange enough I begin to get older, so I can`t `Chase the Northern Lights` as the extreme way I have done the past 19 Aurora seasons ...

- 27 years in the travel business
- 19. Aurora season, as the first one and the longest running Aurora Guide
- Over 2,000 nights of chasing!

Do you know that we`re driving up to 50,000 km every Aurora season from September to April, for finding clear sky and make the night succesful for you ?

After Corona I have begin to drive less, which you can see in my calendar, so I have more nights off for relax and take of my tired body ... but, I decided to do 20 Aurora seasons, since I like to "end" on a round number ...

But, please don`t worry, I will always be here for you, but next season I do the last regular chases and will switch over to the private one.

And of course, I will do more package tours where you can get the chance to see the Northern Lights every night.

So, if you are aware of the environment on this planet, then you should quit the idea of what visitors are doing today: `flying far and stay too short` ... it`s better to stay longer 😉

Tromsø is fully booked from December to March, and it`s too crowdy in Tromsø during this period, so then it`s better to follow me on a Arctic Excursions package tour out in the silence where you`ll have the nature and lovely landscapes for yourself.

After a wet, rainy and windy stay on the coast we got a lovely drive into the country side with sunshine and beautiful autumn colors 😊

The night after I left my guests in the city, I met them again on the top of the cable car where we got a lovely city and sunset view, but no Aurora … the activity started after midnight …

After two windy and rainy nights and days at Brygge, it was time to do the long sighting round back to Tromsø 😊

Was thinking about a long drive last night to Finland, but then the sky cleared up at our spot on the coast of Senja, so we stayed … enjoyed a great tasty meal and got nice Auroras too 😎

And the weather gets little better, but it’s still very windy … even when we returned from last night Chase after midnight the clouds break up …

If you’re seeking a place for the totally silence and where the nature gives your energy back, I can highly recommend a stay at caribou in Lakselv, Finnmark.

It’s located in the forest by the silent river, 470 km NE of Tromsø and about 200 km south of North Cape …

And if you like to have an active holiday, there’s a lot to do in Porsanger 😊

A must visit is to take the short walk out to the seven trolls in Trollholmsund.

Tonight we left the wet stormy weather on the coast and went to the south part of Senja island where the sky was partly clear as the weather forecast says.

Before the chase my body needed energy, so then a better whale steak was the right feeding 😊

Not much Aurora, but my guests got what we was looking for 🤓

Grey, wet and windy out on the coast today, but my guests just love the nature, landscape and scenery 😊

Tonight we’ll drive little further south where at least the weather forecast shows an little opening in the clouds, so let’s hope we get a glimpse of the Northern Lights 🤓

12.09.2024: After a long day with a visit to five Sami Experience in Alta - Kautokeino - Karasjok we got a great Aurora show over the village of Karasjok in the Sami District of Finnmark.

I was out with three american tour operators for a study trip for see what the sami people could offer them ... and me, since I am also making Arctic Excursions package tours in Finnmark ;)

Out with seven ladies from Malaysia, for a Private Arctic Excursions to Sommarøy and Senja 😊

First a sightseeing on Kvaløya island, a night at Sommarøy Arctic Hotel Tromsø, then two nights Mefjord Brygge at the Magic island of Senja … and a return via Troms inland and the Lyngen Alps 😎

And, of course, a must visit to the lovely cafe in Ersfjordbotn, Bryggejentene - try the carrot cake 😊

It was only one thing to do tonight; Head north far as possible, before the clouds from the south arrived ... so, I headed to a fjord on my island, which I normally not are visiting, since it`s too crowdy during the season ... but, tonight we was alone up there.

And tonight Lady Aurora started super early, so we got a lovely colorful show on blue sky.

More activity was on the way, but at 11 pm my guests was happy, so we returned back to the city ... on my private chases the guests decide the time of return, and a early evening is totally ok for me ;)

It was only one way to go tonight; the Finnish Lapland, since the weather forecast showed 100% clear ... they also showed it should be better into Norway later, but the weather forecast was wrong, so after midnight the clouds came into our beautiful clear sky.

But, Lady Aurora had already give us a great show, where we also saw deep red Aurora with our naked eyes.

The best show of 3 on my first week into my 19. Aurora season.

By starting at 7 pm then we`ve about 3 hours before the sky is dark enough, so since it was heavy clouds over the islands, we headed instead towards south where I gave my guests several photo stops with lovely views towards mountains and fjords.

The final stop was at a beach I normally not stopping during the season since it`s too busy of the big buses, but tonight we was alone there ...

First we got a short glimpse of Aurora, but after a short break The Lady was really coming back ... so, by midnight wI returned to the city with a full bus of happy guests ;)

The forecast showed a huge drop, but it didn`t happen ... so that was fake news ...
