Just goes to show you no matter how good or experienced you are there is still a real danger.
The snow coverage in norway is great this year and its going to be a fantastic spring randonee season.
But you can never train enough or have too much information. An avalanche awareness course could give you all the info to potentially save your life or others.
We are available to run courses all through the spring. Visit our website www.rocksandrivers.no

Powder skiing…is…the finest variety of skiing there is. To us powder means freedom, with an emphasis, not on how you do it, just doing it more…it is beyond equipment, form, all the dos and don’ts of ski instruction. Perhaps more important, powder skiing means getting away from the crowd to a place where there are no lines, no lift towers, no snow fences, no bodies in the way. Just snow. It’s another world.

Our Story
We are mountain enthusiasts who love real adventures with ski´s, mountain boots, climbing shoes or crampons on our feet. Our vision is to see people and communities grow through the outdoors.
Our Northern base, Rocks & Rivers, is located just above the arctic circle in Engavågen, and our Southern base, Powder and Dirt, is situated at the crossing point of national parks like Jotunheimen, Rondane and more.
The backcountry is an ideal setting for a unique, experiential education and allows the freedom to truly learn, and put into practice, many useful lessons.
We pride ourselves in having teamed up with some of the best instructors the area can provide. Having great instructors really makes a difference, as mountaineering and teaching outdoor skills can be difficult. This is why we are very selective when choosing our guides and continually improve our instruction methods. Adventure is waiting. Join us, in seeking out the challenges, finding the road less travelled, and exploring new places, both locally and globally. Ascending high mountains, paddling the coast in a kayak, biking, climbing a glacier.
Whether it is on your holidays, or in a training situation to better teamwork in your business, we have a unique skill set that we can offer and we desire to see those skills put to use, both in developing nations and in our local area.
