Holi, one of the most famous and widely celebrated festivals in Nepal, india, and other countries with Hindu communities, is known for its colorful and lively celebrations. In Nepal, Holi usually falls on the full moon day in the Nepali month of Fagu, corresponding to March in the Gregorian calendar. It marks the transition from the dry season to the arrival of the monsoon, symbolizing renewal and change. Holi is often referred to as the "Festival of Colors" because of the playful traditions associated
with it. People of all ages come together to celebrate by throwing colored powders,
water balloons, and colored water at each other, symbolizing the arrival of spring and
the triumph of good over evil.

Pharping may be a little town around 23km southwest of Kathmandu Valley. Tibetans know Pharping as Yanglesho and Nepali. The put Pharping was also known as Phamting. Chatral Rinpoche clarifies that the Indian Phamting determines its title from the nearness of the extraordinary hood of the naga Ruler Lhakmachen or Shesha, which means that it could be a put related to him. It is said that Pharping is the put where Master Padmasambhava (Master Rinpoche ) had gone to illumination. For Tibetan Buddhists, the slopes of Pharping are accepted to be as sacred as Bodhgaya in India. Inside the region of Pharping, there are two sacrosanct caves, Asura cave, and Yanglesho cave, on the mountainside, and a few Tibetan Buddhist Religious communities and withdrawal centres in and around this little town. Together with the Buddhists, Pharping is similarly basic to the Hindus. Pharping is additionally the location of the most seasoned hydroelectric Control station in Nepal.

Muktinath Tour
Muktinath is a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists located in the Mustang district of Nepal. It is situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters (12,467 feet) at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in the Himalayas. The name "Muktinath" is a combination of two words: "Mukti," which means liberation or salvation, and "Nath," which means God. Therefore, Muktinath is often referred to as the "Place of Liberation" or the "Salvation Valley."

For Hindus, Muktinath is a sacred place associated with Lord Vishnu. The main temple at Muktinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the 108 Divya Desams, which are sacred shrines mentioned in the works of the Tamil Azhvars (saints). The temple houses a deity of Lord Vishnu in the form of Mukti Narayana. Pilgrims believe that taking a holy dip in the waters of the nearby Mukti K***a (108 water springs) and visiting the Muktinath temple will help cleanse them of sins and bring salvation.

Maghe Sankranti (Nepali: Maithili: Newari Bhasa: ghu Chaku sanu is a Nepali festival observed on the first of Magh in the Vikram Sambat (B.S) or Yele calendar bringing an end to the winter solstice containing the month of Poush. Tharu people celebrate this particular day as the new year. It is also regarded as the major government-declared annual festival of the Magar community. Maghe Sankranti is similar to solstice festivals in other religious traditions. Observant Hindus take ritual baths during this festival. These include Sankhamul on the Bagmati near Patan; In the Gandaki/Narayani River basin at Triveni, Devghat near Chitwan Valley and Ridi on the Kaligandaki; and in the Koshi River basin at Dolalghat on the Sun Koshi. Festive foods like laddoo, ghee and sweet potatoes are distributed. Niece and Nephew usually go to Mama Ghar and take Tika and blessing/Dakshina.

Yomari Punhi 26 December 2023
Yomari Punhi, meaning the full moon of yomari, is one of the most popular Newar festivals and is observed every year during the full moon of December. A yomari is a confection of rice flour (from the new harvest) dough shaped like fish and filled with brown cane sugar and sesame seeds, then steamed. This delicacy is the chief item on the menu during the post-harvest celebration of Yomari Punhi.
On this full moon day, the people of the Kathmandu Valley offer worship to Annapurna, the goddess of grains, for the rice harvest. Groups of kids go around neighborhood to ask yomari, a newari dish, from housewives in the evening. Sacred masked dances are performed in the villages of Hari Siddhi and Thecho at the southern end of the Valley to mark the festival. In a yomari people keep chaku a chocolate-like food or khuwa a ricotta-cheese-like dairy product. It is delicious.This is also one of the main festival celebrated only in newar community.
