Ghorepani poonhill or Ghorepani- Ghandruk trkeking in Nepal - Ghorepani (P**nhill) is one of the most famous trekking area in Annapurna region. This Ghorepani poonhill starts from Pokhara and finished also in pokhara. In Ghorepani-Ghandruk trekking are rarely a few places in the world with such a splendid variety of natural beauty as that of Annapurna region. It is a rare combination of long arrays of snow capped, mountains, turbulence rivers with deep gorges, Buddhist monasteries, home of famous Gorkha soldiers and other friendly ethnic groups, as well as hot springs and beautiful Gurung and Magar villages. You can see the whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri panorama view from P**nhill. This trek is easy one and famous for the short trekkers. In this small circuit trek you can see the different view same peak of the mountain from different place. Which is main attraction of this trekking.

Itinerary:

Day 1-About hour of drive from Pokhara(915m) to Nayapul(1050m) on private or tourist or public vechicle( 42 kilometer). Trek starts from Nayapul you will reach Ulleri (1750M),final destination of the day Via Birethanti (1065m.) it takes about five hours. The first part of day trek is easy passing through several small villages and settlements. After some gentle ascend you can reach Tikhedhunga and from Tikhedhunga, you have to fully ascend gently in Ulleri(1900m). The majority of people in this region are Gurung, magar and they are Buddhist. Approx. 10KM.

Day 02: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani at the altitude of (2850 m.) It takes around six hours. One can see beautiful view of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna south (7219m) on the way to Ghorepani. Final hours of today's trail are quite easier passing through rhododendron and shadowy trees and descends gently up to the final camp. Languor and different species of birds are common things to see. Approx. 9 KM.

Day 03: Morning hike to the top of P**n Hill(3210m) for the best view of sunrise on Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow capped mountains Descend back to Ghorepani and after having breakfast we will continue our five hour journey unto Tadapani (2650m). Approx. 16 KM

Day 04: Trek from Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghankdruk(1900m) which takes 3 hours hours.The day trek is very easy by mostly descending gently all the way through Rhododendron, Oak and Sal's dense forests.When you will be Ghandruk .Approx. 6 KM.

Day 5: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul have fully decend until Saulibazar around 3 hours and walk to flat offroad around 2hours to Nayapul. You are walking through the shadow of the Fish Tail and Annapurna range is heading to the South West ridge of the hills, furthermore down to the Modi Khola. The trails continue through the bank of the Modi Khola and reach the point (Birethanti) where your trek started 5 days ago, possibly lunch here. Approx. 15 KM. Half hour walks lead you to catch the transport and then drive to Pokhara

Day 1: Pokhara to Ulleri

After have breakfast in Pokhara, at 7:30 you will be drive by car or Van or bus to Nayapul where the trek commences. The drive to Nayapul (42 km) takes around 1.5 hours. The trail from there leads up through the beautiful local rice, maze and millet farms. Following the main trail of Birethanti, you will pass a small waterfall. The trail passes through Sudame where you will have lunch. After lunch, you will steadily climb the side of a valley until you reach Hile. After half an hour you will reach Thikhedhunga and continue climbing to Ulleri (1900m) one and half hours. You will stay the night at Ulleri.Approx. 10 KM.

Day 2: Ulleri to Ghorepani

In the morning, breakfast will be served early at the guest house at 7:00 am in order to be ready for the trek to Ghorepani. The trail climbs steeply up on stone steps at which point you will be walking through cultivated fields. It continues through the blooming Rhododendron and Oak forest. The final climb of the morning will be to Nagethati, which will be the resting point for lunch. ‘Thanti’ is a Nepali word meaning ‘Rest House’ Dharmasala. In the winter, the trail can be covered with snow. You will rest for lunch about an hour and the continue climbing to Ghorepani, which is situated at 2850m above sea level. You will arrive at the top of the Ghorepani and spend the overnight in Ghorepani.Approx. 9 KM.

Day 3: Ghorepani – P**n Hill-Ghandruk

This is the most important day of your trek, therefore you will need to wake up very early in the morning and start your journey to P**n Hill (3210m), which takes around 45minute-1hours, in order to provide for the best view of the majestic scenery and sunrise over the high mountains. Many white mountains can be seen from P**n Hill like Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna South (7119m) Fishtail (6993m), Nilgiri South, Singa Chuli, Annapurna(I) (8091m), and many more peaks in addition. After ascending, you will then descend to Ghorepani to have breakfast and trek to Ghandruk. This day will be a long day of walking. The trek leads mainly up and downhill through the forest. The trail reaches Tadapani, where you will have lunch. After lunch, the journey continues on to Ghandruk, which takes about 2.5 hours to reach. This village represents some of the most traditional Nepalese culture as it is the home of the Gurung people. This trail leads mainly through forest and goes gently down. In the evening or early the next morning you can explore the Gurung museum in order to learn more about their traditional cloths and useful equipment. You will spend the night at Ghandruk. Approx. 22 KM.

Day 4: Ghandrung – Pokhara
Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul have fully decend until Saulibazar around 3 hours and walk to flat offroad around 2hours to Nayapul. You are walking through the shadow of the Fish Tail and Annapurna range is heading to the South West ridge of the hills, furthermore down to the Modi Khola. The trails continue through the bank of the Modi Khola and reach the point (Birethanti) where your trek started 4 days ago, possibly lunch here. Approx. 15 KM. Half hour walks lead you to catch the transport and then drive to Pokhara.Approx. 15 KM.
