The Annapurna Conservation Area is an amazing trekking region either biking or hiking . Definitely one of the wonders of the world 🌍.
There are 3 major trekking routes in the Annapurna region: The Jomson Trek to Jomsom and Muktinath ,the Annapurna Sanctuary route to Annapurna base camp; and our favourite the Annapurna Circuit Thorong La Pass 5456M , which circles the Annapurna Himal itself and includes the Jomsom route.The town of Pokhara usually serves as a starting point for these treks, and is also a good place to shop and stock up on some warm clothing .
The Mustang district, a former kingdom of Lo bordering Tibet, is also geographically a part of the Annapurna region, but treks to upper Mustang are subject to special restrictions . Mustang is also increasingly becoming popular for mountain biking because of the construction of roads undertaken by the Nepali government in the region.
The Annapurna sanctuary is easily accessible, guest houses in the hills are plentiful, and hike and bike treks here offer incredibly diverse scenery, with both high mountains and lowland villages. Also, because the entire area is inhabited, trekking in the region offers unique cultural exposure and experience. Join us this October. DM for details.

Kagbeni is a Tibetan village that is the only “Gateway to upper Mustang” located in the Valley of Kali Gandaki River. Kagbeni is famous for Pitri-Puja which is also called Pitri- Moksastala which is done to remove the lost soul of ancestors from hell and helping them to reach heaven resulting in blessing to all the family members.
Kagbeni is known as one of the oldest villages in the Himalayas. Kagbeni lies in the Baragubg Muktikshetra rural municipality of Mustang district in Gandaki province of western Nepal. Kagbeni is situated at an altitude of 2,804 m away from sea level with an area of 58.3 km2. Kagbeni receives power from a hydroelectricity facility from the nearby Kali Gandaki River. Being a small village it has its’ own popularity and stardom throughout the world because of its natural beauty, culture, tradition, and landscape.

When is the best time to trek in the Himalayas?
It’s spring time now.
Spring season in Nepal starts from March and lasts till May.
During this season, you can see a wide variety of flowers blooming such as the national flower of Nepal Rhododendron, magnolia and other wildflowers in various part of the country. We trek mostly during late October into November . The temperatures are milder during the night although sub zero above 3000m is the norm. The weather overall is relatively stable, and the clear air makes for superb mountain views and great for pictures 📷 . The high mountains are still cold and and lower elevations are still warm but the daytime riding temperatures are the most pleasant overall. So join us this October for an adventure of a lifetime 👏

Fun Facts. Nepal has over 3000 suspension foot bridges ✅. They are fun to cross and amazing engineering feats that are a life line to many Nepalese communities.
Nepals longest suspension bridge over Kaligandaki River in Baglung district that links with neighbouring Parbat district has been given the name in Nepali and English. The 567-metre bridge over the Kaligandaki River has been named 'Gandaki Golden Bridge' in English and 'Gandaki Sunaulo Jhula' in Nepali

Fun Facts Friday.
The Fish Tail ( Machapuchare. ) mountain stands just under 7000M tall. Officially it has never been climbed.
Its distinct peak gives its name the Fish Tail.
It lays 25 km north of Pokhara and distinctly visible from the centre of Pokhara .The Nepalese bond the mountain with Lord Shiva so the climb is restricted and one can only WISH to climb its summit. ✅
The beautiful peak covered in thick snow blanket is a mystical sight to see. One of the most photogenic mountains in the world.
The only attempt made to climb the summit was in 1957 by a British team under the leadership of Jimmy Roberts. The climbers Wilfrid and A.D.M. Cox climbed up to 50 m of the summit via north ridge but did not go to the top as they had promised not to set foot on the actual summit. ✅. Join us this October and get a closer look. ✅✅. Some fun facts about the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Annapurna was the first 8000m peak ever scaled✅ and which is also without supplemental oxygen. Initial ascents of Annapurna: Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal, the first to summit Annapurna in 1950, were part of a French team that included other great climbers, Gaston Rébuffat and Lionel Terray. Tenzing Norgay & Sir Edmund Hillary summited Everest 3 years later. ✅. Join us late October. DM for details.

The Upper Mustang was a restricted kingdom until 1992 which makes it one of the most preserved cultural regions in the world 🌎 , with a majority of the population still speaking traditional Tibetic languages. Big congratulations to Podium holders of the 2nd Mayor Cup National Race Championship 2022! We are proud of Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventure team riders who had a great accomplishment at the 2nd Mayor Cup National Championship on 21st Dec 2022 by securing first, second and third positions in the men's and also third position in the girl's categories. The team is being recognized for their hard work and success. Congratulations to the team and all the riders on their victory. We are very much thankful to the Pokhara Metropolitan office for organizing such a national Mountain biking event in Pokhara.
