Having with the plenty of grassland, deciduous forest, 280 species of birds, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has been preserved as one of the best location for bird watcher. It is located at the eastern part of Nepal in sub-Terai belt. This is a small (175 sq km) reserve which holds tremendous beautiful and fascinating aquatic environment and home to an astonishing variety of water birds that flock to its ponds full of flowering plants. The reserve provides an important habitat for a variety of wildlife but, in particular, water birds, including several migratory species such as the Sarus crane from Siberia. In all, a total of 280 different species of birds have been recorded and these include many varieties of ducks, ibis, storks, egrets and herons, as well as the endangered swamp partridges and Bengal floricans. Koshi Tappu is also home to the last surviving population of wild water buffalo and its other inhabitants include blue cows, various species of deer, Gangetic dolphins and Gharial Crocodiles.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and Warm Greet Service
Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Outlook Nepal tours representative welcome you and arrange transfer you to hotel on the vehicle suitable to your group. Welcome drink at hotel and short tour briefing by our tour manager. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu City Sightseeing Tour
Architectural and Historical Bhaktapur
The day is allocated for the exploration of Kathmandu Valley and its UNESCO cultural heritage sites along with the local public life style. Breakfast at hotel then transfer to the medieval city of Malla dynasty, Bhaktapur which has been a renounce UNESCO heritage site. You will be informed about the culture and customs, living style of the Newari people, Malla emperor history, and festivals of the local people. Bhaktapur durbar square is an archeological park of the medieval century which is belonged with the history of many Malla kings. Golden Gate, the palace of Fifty five windows, the Art gallery, the Statue of Bhupatindra Malla, Nyatapola Temple and Vastala Temple are the major monuments to observe.
Patan a Showcase of Medieval Architect and Culture
Then we drive you to another Historical city Patan which has been holding immense power on it in the medieval days. Patan used to be the sovereign country in the past and struggling with its existence for the long time. It is assumed that the Patan Durbar Square complex is perhaps the most photographed of the three durbar squares of the Kathmandu Valley. The square is a complete showcase of Newari architecture that had reached its peak during the reign of Malla kings who were great builders and patrons of the arts. There are three main courtyards in the palace: Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Mul Chowk, the oldest one, is at the centre of Patan square. Several multi-sized and multi-styled temples occupy the western part of the complex. A masterpiece in stone, the Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple, the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna Mahavira and Sundari Chowk mark the artistic brilliance of the Newar craftsmanship of that era. The Sundari Chowk with the sunken bath of Tusha Hiti showcases beautiful woodcarvings, stone and metal sculpture. We conclude morning sightseeing tour and return back to hotel for delicious Lunch.
Pay homage to the Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa
In the afternoon, we will head towards the Pashupatinath Temple- a biggest temple of the Hindu in the world. Pashuppatinath is greatly popular among the Hindu living across the world. Many Hindu pilgrims across the globe come to pay homage to the Lord Shiva. According to the myth, it was built in the 5th Century and later renovated by Malla kings, the site itself is said to have existed from the beginning of the millennium when a Shiva lingam was discovered in the forest. The largest temple complex in Nepal, it extends on both sides of the Bagmati River which is considered holy by Hindus. The main pagoda style temple has a gilded roof, four sides covered in silver and wood carvings of the finest quality. Temples dedicated to several other Hindu and Buddhist deity surround the temple of Pashupatinath. Arya Ghat where a ritual cremation is taken place by Hindu people. You can be get known and evidence of the funeral and its cremation’s procedures. Gauri ghat, Guheshwori temple, many more temple and belief have been there you to explore within the very spiritual Pashupatinath site.
Now, then turn to visit a glorious site is Bouddhanath Stupa. The 36-meter-high stupa of Bouddhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. With countless monasteries surrounding it, Bouddhanath is the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. Built in the shape of a mandala designed to replicate the Gyangtse of Tibet, the stupa was renovated by Licchavi rulers in the 8th Century. Transfer to hotel and overnight.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Biratnagar – Kosh*tappu Wildlife Reserve
Breakfast at hotel and arrange transfer to an hour domestic flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar . As you reach the Biratanagar airport, we will arrange to transfer to the resort of Koshi Tappu. After short rest you will enjoy the activities like bird watching, elephant ride & safari Slide show on the natural history of the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Resort.
Day 04: Explore Kosh*tappu Wildlife Reserve
After breakfast in the morning, Jungle excursion - by ox-driven cart or on foot for bird watching tour. You will really enjoy this moment as we believe this will back you to have the experience the minimum 50 years back. The shore of Koshi & the jungle areas typically enchanting to you. Lunch and proceed for Jungle drive to explore the more birds in the jungle. Return back to Resort in the evening then dinner and overnight at resort.
Day 05: Continue Excursion at Koshi River and around
Breakfast at hotel and move out for Koshi River excursion with packed lunch. Whole day we stroll around the areas and get in touch with the birds and wildlife animals activities. Evening we walk through the village. Back to resort and overnight.
Day 06: Kosh*tappu – Biratnagar – Kathmandu
After breakfast you will be taken to airport & fly back to Kathmandu. Free time for shopping & departure preparation. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Departure day
After breakfast we provide you a warm departure to your onward destination or you can continue your holiday trip to the nature valley Pokhara, birth place of lord Buddha Lumbini, Chitwan National park.
