The Government of Nepal is monitoring the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19). Taking into account the global recommendations and measure of the WHO, the Government of Nepal has decided to temporarily suspend visa-on-arrival for the nationals of the following countries, effective from 10 March, 2020 to till the date of further notice:

-People's Republic of China, including Special Administrative
Regions
-Islamic Republic of Iran
-Italy
-Republic of Korea
-Japan

However, nationals from these countries, willing to visit Nepal can obtain visa beforehand from the Nepali missions abroad. Those applicants and also the nationals transiting from these countries bound to arrive Nepal are required to submit a recently issued health certificate stating that they are not infected by COVID-19 along with their visa applications. The aforementioned health certificate will be scrutinized both at the immigration at the airport in Kathmandu and the land border entry-exit points of Nepal.

Here at Himalayan Guides Nepal, we believe climate change is a terrible problem, and it absolutely needs to be solved. It deserves to be a huge priority. We are aware that we have a responsibility for each place we visit and that our trips have an impact on the people, their local community, and the environment. We organize our expeditions and treks to have minimal impact on the environment. Operating in small groups, discourage the use of wood for fuel, avoid polluting water, avoid littering the route, and also collect litter made by other travelers are some steps we take to keep the trekking and climbing routes clean. A small effort from everyone ends up being a significant impact. That is what we are trying to promote so we can enjoy fresh and beautiful mountains for many years to come.
