It was lovely to trek to the lesser trodden villages of Thame and Khumjung in the past two days.

It was nice to be in parts of a popular tourist region but with a lot less foot traffic.

I had a terrific time in Pakistan on my product development trip. I have had the privilege of meeting some of the nicest people.

I met the first Pakistani couple to summit an 8000-meter mountain - Manaslu, a 25-year-old Sajid Ali Sadpara who has bagged 8 of the 14 8000-meter peaks, plus Sirbaz Khan, the first and Shehroze Kashif, the youngest Pakistanis to climb 13 peaks above.

Thank you, Ayaz Shigri, the president and Shamshad Hussein, General Secretary of Baltistan Adventure Tour Operators Association, for your priceless hospitality.

It was an adventure of a different kind for me today due to the underground or Metro strike.

I had two meetings which got swifted from morning to afternoon and the other one from noon to morning. The buses were late, overcrowded and when they finally turned up, didn’t stop. I took the Overground train to Marylebone station where the same situation with the bus happened. i had to wait for 75 minute in a taxi ramp before i got my turn and gratefully reached only a few minutes late for my first meeting.

The second meeting was an hour late despite the long delays. Overall I am grateful for the experience of seeing London in Chaos which is a rare occasion (usually). The good old practice of “seeing things as they are and not how you want it to have been” worked wonders once again.
