Remembering 9 years of devastating Barpak Earthquake.
Today mark 9 years since the terrifying earthquake in Nepal, It is hard to imagine that this village was the epicenter for devastating earthquake that Nepal went through during 2015. The earthquake left nooks and corners of villages like Barpak and Laprak shaken and cranked.It’s an eerie feeling to realize that life can change drastically within a fraction of seconds.
More than 1200 houses has been destroyed in the village of Barpak and 700 houses were damaged in Laprak which is just 3 kilometers far from epicenter. Once a picturesque village in Manaslu trekking route.The massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitude that hits Nepal in 2072 baishak 12 at 11:56 am.
Now that Barpak is rebuilding itself from the rubble, some fear that the essence of the village might have been lost forever. Before the earthquake marked Barpak as its epicenter, the small village was known for its picturesque landscape and its thatched roof houses.
9 years after the earthquake reconstruction is almost complete.
All the departed soul rest in heaven.
A dark day in the history of Nepal when our country faced a huge loss of lives along with National and private property. Nepal is still not able to recover completely from the loss till now.A Tribute to all the lost souls.
