hone Hone your work with hone's expert proof reading, editing, thesis and long document formatting, APA 6th, website polishing, and office efficiency services!

hone is all about helping you to produce your best work, whether it is an essay, academic article, thesis or dissertation, a company report, promotional material, menus, your website or blog, or just your own work processes! I have over 10 year's experience as a university tutor, mainly teaching students how to write well, how to reference, and how to format their work. During this time I have als

o proofread and formatted a number of master's and doctoral theses, articles for publication, and two books. I am an expert in APA sixth, but can work with other referencing systems as well. I have a very sharp eye for spelling and punctuation errors, as well as those annoying extra spaces (or missing spaces) and font size changes that sometimes sneak into your document. I will read your document closely and identify any repetition, any passages that need rewriting for clarity, any dodgy grammar or redundant words, and any areas where your argument would benefit from further explanation. Working on your Word file, I will make corrections to spelling, spacing, and punctuation in the text, using track changes so you can see what I have done. I will make suggestions for edits using comments in track changes, to ensure the academic integrity of your work (if your work is to be graded). I will also closely check and format your references, and format the whole document (including headings and tables if they need doing). If your website needs work, I can either check it online and let you know what needs fixing (including broken links), or work from a Word file, or directly on the working end of your site if you can give me access. If it's your office systems that need work I can observe you at work and come up with a plan to make you more efficient. Overrun with emails? No idea how to find anything on your system? I can help with that, and more!

I think a lot of people find the lit review one of the hardest parts of a thesis - they are certainly often harder to read. This makes a literature review sound simple!

A lot of researchers treat the literature review like a book report, just listing who said what.
That’s not enough.

A strong literature review makes a case for your study by showing what’s missing, what’s unclear, or what needs to be tested again.
It’s about guiding the reader to see the problem you’re trying to solve.

For example, if several studies on online learning show mixed results about student performance, you can argue that more focused research is needed on specific conditions or groups.
That kind of reasoning gives your study a clear reason to exist.

Your literature review should tell a story that ends with this message: “Here’s where I come in.”
