Ideas behind my monkey: when i first received the sculpture i was captivated by the details on it and was stunned how fragile it looked. I wanted to extend this idea with a Chinese porcelain theme, to connect this with my roots and the idea of me being 1.5 generation and my heritage being a fragile treasure to keep in the arts. motifs of the chrysanthemum and Chinese symbols are extended though out the sculpture as a link to the year of the Monkey. more info please check out the site http://parnell.net.nz/chinese-monkeys/wei-lun-ha/

Really cool how i got a nice audience today at the Wallace Gallery Morrinsville. Love the people and how friendly and eager they were to learn culture. Hope to have more of these sessions around nz.

Had a fantastic time with art week at Parnell on Saturday. Thanks to friend and boss Barbie Jones. I got some really awesome photos would post more at the end of this week. 4 hours for 15 meters is really draining, going to have to rest up.Keep everyone posted soon!

Extremely honored to be a finalist in the Wallace arts awards. This year round my art would be traveling around the show. So i am very excited to know that my work would be seen by many.I hope Sir James would like to buy my work again or even anyone with a lovely big house somewhere. More images would be posted so keep an eye for more of my works. This piece is now showing at the tsb pah next to the winning piece this year, so don't miss out, please do visit if you have time.

hey guys I'm running a animation work shop with kids at the lakehouse art center on Wednesday evening from 3~5:30 please pass word to anyone that is interested around the shores.175 for non members and 165 for members and this covers for a total of 9 weeks. and the ages range from 7-14 yr olds. We start on the 29th this month, so please be quick to get a place for your kids.

Another day with another cool job! White night event at Parnell started at 6pm today and ended at 12. I have to thank the world for such a awesome team of ppl that night. Cant do without Terry and Nicola with the set up, and Sally lush a old friend of mine for an awesome as opportunity to be part of this. Special thanks to Sam for helping out with the lighting and Lucy Liu and her grandma for the lovely music played during the event.
I really had lots of fun interacting with new and old fans!~ heres the end result. Sorry if pics might be a bit blurry, dont have pro camera. If anyone has pics, please feel free to post here! Cheers and thanks again for all the support!
