We’re excited to share that The Letter Q had the privilege of designing and helping with touring logistics for this version of Trouble in Paradise—Climate Change in the Pacific, an exhibition now showing at the Samoa Arts and Culture Centre Malifa in Apia. 🌏✨

It’s been a wonderful experience collaborating with The British Council and The British High Commission on this important project. Huge thanks as well to the incredible staff at The Culture Centre Malifa—such a great team to work with!

As CHOGM 2024 unfolds in Apia, with Samoa's Prime Minister and leaders from across the world discussing the pressing issue of climate change, we hope our work contributes in some way to sparking real, actionable change for these vulnerable nations.

Another great project working with these guys. Craft and attention to detail from the team at Blink help us achieve the right voice for this exhibit with its discrete presentation of prose and supporting graphics.

Always Song on the Water is still on at the Maritime Museum and celebrates our oceanic surroundings. Artists in the show include Gregory O'Brien, John P**e, Robin White, John Reynolds, Elizabeth Thomson, Denys Watkins, Neke Moa, Lianne Edwards, Phil Dadson, Fiona Hall, Kazu Nakagawa, Bruce Foster, Steev Laufilitoga Maka, Shona Rapira Davies, and more.

New Zealand has a new museum. Except it’s in France or specifically a small town called Le Quesnoy which was lliberated by some kiwi soldiers not with number eight wire but they did have a ladder which turned out to be handy for getting over the ancient ramparts. The short name for the museum is Te Arawhata and up its very elegant stairs there is exhibition by The Letter Q with called From the Field to the Front which follows the part that rugby played for soldiers in WWI.

“For All Blacks and casual players alike, rugby played a vital role in the lives of New Zealand servicemen. Whether competing or spectating, regular games raised their spirits, creating a sense of normality in times that were anything but.”

Today, the 29th of May, marks the 70th Anniversary of the historic 1953 ascent of Mount Everest by Sir Ed and Tenzing, Its going to be a big day today in Khumjung Village where the School Ed and his team built re-opens as a new museum and visitors centre. For this project we needed to get Everest 3d printed (a tad smaller than the original) and transported all the way up along with graphics in 2 and sometimes 3 languages. The dream team made it over the line in time, what a delightful and dedicated group of people to work with.

From the Q archives. This project with APRA NZ gave us the chance to guide musicians and performers through the ways in which APRA can help an artists to not only get on board but also get some payback for their hard work. With versions in Te Reo, Tongan, Samoan and English each voice has its own bespoke atmosphere and pattern.

Tucked away in the Computer Science faculty you can find more of our design work - a timeline of computing evolution. These branching forms originate from the Opte project, an attempt to map the birth of the internet. Nuts! @ The University of Auckland
