Sneak peak at the progress on our project by the sea 🌊 - we are using Viking Warmspan2 which consists of v***r barrier, insulation and cover board topped of with slate grey Enviroclad. The goal with Warmspan is to ensure the home is kept extra cosy.

Say Hello to our scheduling superstar, Jimmy McGregor. Jimmy is our Project Coordinator at BDH. He spends his day coordinating logistics to managing schedules for our Roofing team.

Jimmy is also a Qualified Builder and has a background of knowledge in the building industry, which proves to be very useful.

Jimmy is the BDH Basketball team strategizer and also the undisputed star of the karaoke stage, we are lucky that he is now bringing that energy to the office!

Hold on to your hats, because we are about to introduce you to someone who juggles many hats for BDH… James Evans, our Roofing Manager.

James carries out our site measures for both new roofing and re-roofs, he also liaises with our roofing team to ensure the jobs smooth sailing. His background in roofing is extensive both in membrane and iron. With a toolbox full of skills, he is also known as “Jimmy Two Hammers”. 🔨

First and foremost we have our company Director and namesake - Mr BDH… Bjorn Horrack - it’s been a while since he had his tool belt on, up on the roof. Bjorn’s day consists of iron roofing QS, keeping our team in line and developing our fabrication division. Here we have a cool tiny home, clad in Espan .340 tray cladding - flaxpod colour. Looking sharp and ready for it to be moved to its permanent location. 🙌🏼

Boys had a handful on this nice two story character home, stripping two layers of roof,second layer being an old timber shingle! Very messy work.
We then installed new timber purlins and dropped in a New folded .55 guage metal internal gutter lined with 1.14mm grey friers Tpo. Our grey friers .40 guage corrugated iron and 150mm ridging was then installed.
Top story now completed and waiting to get stuck in to the lower areas 🔥

We have a 45 degree Re roof/extension with Grey friers TPO membrane and BDH .40 gauge corrugated iron with wide ridging all in Black.
Boys will have sore ankles after this one 🔥 we thank our lads for the quality effort. Next step wall cladding 👌🏻

Earlier this month we had the privilege in attending the Viking Evolve Conference in Fiji. It was a great opportunity for us to recharge and connect with likeminded business owners across New Zealand in the membrane industry. We were lucky enough to be nominated for an “up & coming” award which is all thanks to our hard working membrane team. Viking put on a great conference. Looking forward to the next one already 🍹☀️🏝️

Nice roof and cladding job going on at this site. Installing Plumbdek style iron to the gable ends has created a very nice feature to the home. We have run the Barge flashings down the front to match the fascia lines,to do this we have added a nice we touch of swages to the front edge of the barge to stiffen it all up. Looking 🔥
