Was awesome to spend this once in a lifetime phenomenon with such an awesome group of people. Definitely won’t forget the back drop of our night fishing event it truly felt like we where in a night club. The water was pulsating an array of colours almost every colour on the rainbow.
It was a treat to experience in this spectacular light show with these amazing people look for to our next fishing adventure Dead Eggs Fishing

What a way to finish an awesome season Madeline is here from Colorado in the states studying at Lincoln university chose to come down and tick a few boxes of the bucket list first fish on fly in NZ was the goal and a big brownie should the opportunity come about and it did and she nail it.
Was awesome to see the excitement when it all came together and a day that won’t be forgotten we done Madeline it was awesome to be apart of this with you.🎣👌

With winter just around the corner things are starting to ramp up in the canals we have been seeing plenty of salmon being caught lately out on our travels and the trout have been turning it on as well with some stunning browns being brought to the bank over the past week or so.

The fly fishing has be spectacular the past week as well after this last drop of rain the fresh flush and the colour in the water has made for some awesome days out on the river with some stunning fish coming to the net and some rather large fish showing up as well it’s been a treat.

It’s been an awesome few days putting some absolute legends on to some epic fish some battles won and some lost.

With some very aggressive takes there was no time for thinking on these ones it was lock on and take control or they where gone and never to be seen again under the cages.
With high flow the fish definitely had the upper hand when they decided to turn and head down stream but not all of them beat the guys.

Bringing in the new year with low flow and high temps has definitely made things tougher around the canals but it also leaves and awesome opportunity to target these larger fish seen cruising the banks on the fly.
Targeting these large bank cruises can become very addictive and extremely exciting the rush when they eat your fly and the moment you realise he actually ate it there’s not much more of a rush you can get in fresh water fishing in NZ.
