Tasman Charters does whole group charters out of Nelson Marina and French Pass. Our vessel is based on D'urville Island.
We have had a lot of enquiries from individuals wanting day trips out of Nelson but it is something we are not offering at the moment. ie. We are only taking whole group bookings.
But we are putting together one shared cost trip for those people who are super keen to get aboard our new vessel it is on February the 2nd which is the Sunday of Nelson Anniversary weekend.

Today's charter in our home ground D'urville Island.
Average fishing for us but it delivered our customers there first kingies.
Plus they did a complete loop of the island.
Great weather window

We have been getting heaps of enquiries for people wanting to shout there loved ones a D"urville Charter aboard our fantastic boat.
So we have decided to test the waters and run a shared cost trip. This is planned for Sunday Feb 2nd.
We can provide a voucher.
Pre paid trip.
Fully refunded if its bad weather or lack of numbers.

Well well well.
All our Saturdays are booked to Xmas for charters.

That means your work do may actually also involve a day of work lol

There's a big bbq on board.
And you can't beat a day on the water..

Either out of French Pass or there will we lots of days when we are naturally in Nelson.

Gosh the boat has been quite busy especially out of D'urville but we are wanting to advertise a few spots/days that we will already be in Port Nelson and have days to spare before heading home to D'urville
There is the option of Xmas Harbour Cruises and Day and Overnight trips to D'urville.
Get your work group together....ideally we are looking at groups of up to 12.

A mighty fine snapper this lad caught on our charter yesterday.
Craig steamed to Nelson directly after this in preparation for a 3 day charter and stay at the D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort .

Some pretty decent kingies, nice catches of tarakihi, snapper.
Great people and fantastic weather.

Back home after fishing Port Hardy side of D'urville.
Did average to well.
Nice catches of Tarakihi that side. Big Trevally too.
Life is sure easier back loading our stock for D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort.

Hey

Just a little more about us.
Craig and myself Cathy run the D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort.
Its not a new game to us this is what we do.
We also run another charter boat out of D'urville Island.
We see this new arm to our business as a way to connect people to the island and the resort easier. You can fly into Nelson airport and be transported into the best fishing grounds in NZ.
But that's not all we also offer harbour cruises, Abel Tasman and Tasman Bay trips.
The boat we relocated from Western Australia and its been quite a mission getting it into NZ Survey and we have definately taken our time learning the ropes so to speak.
14m long and 5m beam it certainly is a beast.
