Christmas came early for the Canoe Safaris team! 🎄 Yesterday we enjoyed a round of disc golf and tasty snacks, followed by dinner & bubbles at the local watering hole. It was great to celebrate together before the busiest part of our season begins. See you on the river! 😌🎅🏻🎄

Ravensthroat Exped 2017

The start of the first portage to the river. 3 km without a formed track and we did it in 4 trips over 3 days. So 24km all up to get all the gear to the river. Many thanks to Taylor Ward Pace for great organisation and sorting out our maps and route. We had GPS, sat phone, bear spray - and great food for 14 days!!

Not exactly built for a 757 but at least there were no goats on the runway. The pilot said he likes to get a lot of speed up before takeoff in case the motor cuts out and he needs to glide to the lower river flats...
