We’re open today, Saturday and Sunday for the Taranaki Sustainable Backyards Trail. Today is a Sage hydrosol (because it’s there, and covering our path). Tomorrow will be gin day (London Dry with Rose Geranium. Sunday is gin day - I’m pushing for Cacao and Orange.

Another Taranaki Sustainable Backyards Trail day under our combined belts! Rebecca says she needs ‘three versions of herself’ so she doesn’t miss out on chats with anyone; Dave’s comment is ‘ I’m ‘hoarse as’ through giving gin distillation explanations, and am currently sucking on spoonfuls of local honey to soothe those ‘sensuous tones’.
If you’re up for it, come for a visit tomorrow, so we can share our fun projects - and hopefully learn a thing or two from you too. Today’s kids loved making homemade bath salts.

Day #1 Sustainable Garden. ‘ Just like inviting a whole lot of friends over to chat about gardens …apart from I hadn’t met them before ‘ Sums up my day. Early to bed last night though. Day # 2 Highlight will sure to be the gin distillation that will start late morning…exciting . Don’t forget that Sunday will also be a fabulous day to visit as you will be able to make printing inks and paper with . ( runs from 11am $5 )

This weekend and next we are opening our garden as part of the Sustainable Backyards Trail. Drop by and see what we are up to and best of all, have a gardening chin wag. We are called 65 on 45 in the brochure and can be found next to Ōkato Takeaways. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, this weekend and next. There’s a sustainable printing inks and paper-making workshop on Sunday 31st - $5.

Applause all round to our wonderful guests (ewe know who ewe are), for your 5-Star tidy-ups before checking out. Unlike many Airbnb listings, 65on45 doesn't charge a cleaning fee, so we really appreciate the effort. Nice work team!
