This is a significant time for Te Ao Māori and all of Aoteroa New Zealand. We honor his legacy of kotahitanga and say goodbye to a cherished leader 🕊

Last night the Ōpōtiki Matariki Festival 2023 won Best Community or Not For Profit Event 2024 (Under 3000 participants) at the NZEA New Zealand Event Awards in Palmerston North 🎉

Our team thanks the NZ Events Association 🙏 and everyone else who made it such an amazing night ❤️

Also a massive shout out to our local Ōpōtiki community who made the Ōpōtiki Matariki Festival 2023 shine 🌟
