Bit of work in the garden over the last couple of weeks thanks to an amazing friend.
So many weeds in such a small area. Hopefully the peastraw will keep them at bay.

Still more to do but can definitely see progress

Ag 2024 done for another year. Kids had a blast and have learnt lots and are super keen again for next year. Who knows what they will take.

Madeline took Panda a friesian calf who she had such an amazing bond with.
Madeline got 2nd for Panda

Madeline also received her red pin for the points she has received in Ag club.

Thomas took his pig Peanut and secretly I think he was the favorite of the day of all the children and adults alike
Thomas got first for Peanut.

Lots of fun modules, with a quiz, fencing exercise, designing a logo and gumboot throwing. We'll organised day and thanks again to the judges and Jodi Glassford for all her hard work.

Ag day for the kids this week.
Madeline has her calf Panda and Thomas has his kunekune pig Peanut.
Kids have to complete a project on their animals over the 12 weeks before Ag day, then preset them to the judges They then have the opportunity to go in to the Boy and girls Ag completion held at the A n P showgrounds.
Always a fun and busy day

Orange warning with wind this morning has brought interesting weather. Thankfully not too much damage. One panel off calf sheds so calves were free for a short time.
Some interesting cloud structures and wind funnels.

We are up to harness number 3 with our pet pig as he keeps getting out of the others. Little darling

Just a slight dusting on the hills above but still very cold feeding the calves this morning.
Let's hope thats the end of the winter chills.
