Mark was an awesome host and would reccomend! So communicative and gave the most helpful instructions/outline well before our stay and again a couple days ahead. The house had everything we needed with the two showers definitely coming in handy. This place is very homely and perfect for big/multiple families!

(We also had frequent visits from 2 kereru which was a bonus✨️)

Accommodation in beautiful Paihia, Bay of Islands.

Hi, if you want to spend some time in one of the stunning sub-tropical places in NZ, only 3 hours north of Auckland, then come on up!

I run my house on Airbnb but it is quiet until Christmas. And as a Kiwi, fellow traveller and NZ tour guide I'd love to share it with digital Nomads.

Only $60 a night for your own room with a queen size bed, with discounts for week stays, or for a help with some spring cleaning.
Fast fibre wifi and lots of space inside and on the balcony to work from. Plus a group of us locals co-work from a local beachfront cafe one or two days a week.

Plus you get a local guide and host who can help you explore the best of everything here... dolphin watching, wineries, kayaking, fishing, sailing, Maori culture, swimming, diving....

Although my house can sleep 12, I'm thinking 3 or 4 people would be a good number.

Welcome to my home. I'm a professional NZ tour guide and while I’m taking international visitors around the country my house is available for you to rent as a base to enjoy the beautiful Bay of Islands. I also enjoy offering tips and recommendations using my experience and expertise, both as a local and a guide, to make your time up here the best it can possibly be :) Family and friends holidays and reunions, hens, stags & wedding parties, fishing trips, sports groups, mountain biking, events and conferences?

Whatever your reason for coming the value, size, location and inclusions you get here compare extremely well with anything else you will find.

The ONLY place in central Paihia with 7 bedrooms and 13 beds making it ideal for families or groups of friends. Yes, 7 bedrooms (when using the downstairs rumpus room and sunroom as bedrooms) so plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

1970's style cool, funky older bach style house, the ideal home away from home where you and your friends and kids can just relax and chill out on the huge 8m by 8m balcony and covered outdoor living and dining area.

Just what you want in a Northland holiday home, safe, secluded, beautiful native bush setting, yet only 800m walk to beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Relax in the sun until late in the evening, you may see Tui's quail, wood-pigeons and parakeets flying around and enjoy the sound of birdsong and cicadas instead of traffic!

After exploring the beautiful Bay, swimming with the dolphins, fishing, sailing, golfing or dozens of other options, what better way to finish than to relax on balcony with a cold drink to review another awesome day, the ones memories are made of.

You will have 3 double bedrooms, the kitchen, dining, lounge and bathroom upstairs and a 4th, 5th, 6th bed/rumpus room & 7th bed/sunroom downstairs, as well as the laundry.

Even with 12 people there is no issue with queues for the bathroom. You have a bath with a shower over it, then a separate door to the second shower, and separate toilet is separate from both of them.

In the kitchen you have everything you would expect, plus a toastie maker, slow cooker, rice cooker, air popcorn maker, filter coffee machine and double hotplate. Plus there is a large, quality BBQ you will probably use every day :)

An inconvenience with some holiday homes is having to pack and bring all the linen, and for 12 people that would be a real hassle and take up half the room inn the car. Then when you arrive you have to make up all the beds, not really the what you want to be doing on your holiday!

So absolutely everything is supplied for you, sheets, pillows, pillow cases, towels, hand towels, beach towels etc. Not only supplied, but all the beds are made up for you! Now isn't that a much better way to start your holiday! :)

Plus, there is no extra fee for this service, or extra cleaning fees like you will find many other places charge. All I ask is that you leave the place clean and tidy like it was when you arrive (you don't have to change the beds, that is also included)

There is also plenty of off road parking right by the house, plus a boat and car wash area.

Another free bonus for you... not only have I lived here for 20 years but I am a professional tour guide. I want you to have the best possible time and can help with all and any questions you may have and give recommendations on my favourite things to do and see and experience while you are here.
