Our new year has kicked off to a great start and we've been busy making the most of it! We were thrilled to have the incredible Lizzie, our barefoot specialist, come out to trim all the horses' hooves, we've had some adventurous treks and swims in the lagoon, all while soaking up this beautiful summer weather. Precious little 'Anahera / Ana / Angel' will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! 😇 Wow that went quick

She is thriving, super friendly, loves a good scratch, full of energy and showing her personality already 💕

When she's not cantering around the paddock and showing off, she's snoozing in the sun 🌞 May not be long until her and Mum can join in on the adventures, they don't seem happy about being left behind!

After weeks of anticipation, our mare Rangi gave birth to her beautiful little foal. All is well for both Mum and Filly and we have some very excited girls who are currently deciding on a name 🙏
When heading out on your trek you may be lucky enough to see her in the paddocks, she is just gorgeous! 🥰🐴

🔴 Help us keep EBOP Riding for the Disabled open 🔴

It's been a pretty tough week for us after receiving the devastating news that two of our major funding applications were declined. 😩 We don’t receive any government funding, which means our entire existence relies on grants like these, the generosity of donations from individuals and local businesses.

As we continue to feel the effects of the recent pandemic and the ongoing economic crisis, running a non-profit organisation has been a tough battle. A significant 80% of our overhead expenses go towards coaching wages, which are critical for delivering safe and effective riding sessions for our participants. These skilled coaches are the backbone of our program, providing not just instruction but also support and encouragement to our riders.

Our financial situation has become increasingly dire, leaving us with an uncertain future and we face the very real possibility of having to close our doors. 💔 We urgently need support to help us navigate these challenging times. Whether it’s a one-time donation, ongoing support, or even spreading the word about our cause, your contribution can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Together, we can help ensure that EBOP Riding for the Disabled continues to provide interaction with horses to develop increased ability, independence and self-worth for children and adults with physical, intellectual, emotional and social challenges.
