Have your say on the future path of Destination Marlborough
As we enter the next stage of the ILM (Investment Logic Mapping) process, Council is now seeking public feedback on the future of the visitor industry support services in Marlborough through a survey as part of the Destination Marlborough Future Path Project. The project aims to redesign the role and structure of Marlborough’s tourism management.

Councillor Croad said “The purpose of the Future Path Project is to rescope and redesign the future role, purpose, functions, structure and resourcing of Destination Marlborough to deliver destination management, marketing and visitor attraction services that meet expectations and are fit for purpose to contribute to Marlborough’s future success".

We invite you to the Public meeting about the Destination Marlborough Future Path Project which is being held in Seddon on the 7th of November

Seddon:

MARLBOROUGH REGIONAL SKILLS LEADERSHIP GROUP (RSLG)

Please find an email from Vance Kerslake below. He works for MBIE, and facilitates a fairly new group focussed on labour market planning, with regional focus. The group is made up of local members, and Vance provides a ministry connection, similar to the Smart & Connected structure. So decisions and planning is locally focussed but with a central govt connection.

As we’ve seen in recent years, labour planning for our region and industries is so important.
It would be wonderful for South Marlborough to have representation on such a body.

Successful consultation round
Thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to the consultation on the Marlborough Regional Workforce Plan. We received over 30 submissions, which we really appreciate given the consultation occurred during the busiest time of year for the wine industry and the whole community was dealing with the surge of Omicron cases. The feedback was very thoughtful and insightful, we are incorporating as much as we can into the Regional Workforce Plan.
