Next time someone gets themselves in trouble because they didn’t listen to met service’s weather forecast sorry I can understand. 75kms winds and rain developing. Our Tongariro Crossing shuttle service has to cancel with a forecast like that. Look at the super day we have.

Well here’s something a bit different.
We knew we were world famous in Tongariro New Zealand, but this morning we had 2 Thai policemen ask our driver if they could have their photo taken with us. We told them we would post the photo on our page,(they were very very happy about that) think they will be very disappointed when they can’t it on the person page they thought we were. Wasn’t going to try and correct them.

Thanks to the crews from Wanganui, Waiheke Island, Taupo locals and few from the Hawkes Bay. Very very enjoyable weekend, they filled our holiday park up with cool cars and people. And of course the weather gods that just finished it of with unbelievable weather.

After watching 2 perfect wind cloud lines for about half an hour above Mount Doom (Ngauruhoe) I decided to go & get my phone. Of course when I returned to get the shot they had started to disappear.

A few of the boys & girls from the Patriots Defence Force Motorcycle Club about to leave here on their ride around the mountain with a couple of non starters that were not far behind chasing them up the highway.

Could be lots of tourists & kiwis left standing on the side of the road this coming summer. Was invited to a meeting yesterday hosted by DOC where they informed us that they have been told by IWI that numbers on the Tongariro Crossing must be limited to 800 people a day.
Have no problem with a limit but this is a massive hit after 2 years of COVID. Very worried for our area which is already under pressure. We should be okay but can see us losing more business from the area. It seems there’s not a lot of people know this is going to happen. Looking for some help to get the word out.
