Just as the clouds are breaking off.
Did think it was a little colder last night. We have been left with a little bit of snow but sun forecast today so hopefully gone by tomorrow.

As you can see from our backyard the snow has gone and the freezing level is jumping up so can confirm our Tongariro Crossing shuttles will be starting this week.

The spring 20 September snow has lasted a week this year not the normal day or two, but disappearing as we watch. Next week forecast temperatures to be mid to high teens so the freedom hiking on the Tongariro Crossing getting very close.

Nice to have some fresh snow for the weekend and our Holy Cross School this week from Papatoetoe.
As for the Tongariro Crossing the snow has fallen on rock so will not last. So still looking like we might start shuttles earlier this season than normal. Those kiwis wanting to beat the international visitors up there this is your chance.

Next time someone gets themselves in trouble because they didn’t listen to met service’s weather forecast sorry I can understand. 75kms winds and rain developing. Our Tongariro Crossing shuttle service has to cancel with a forecast like that. Look at the super day we have.

Well here’s something a bit different.
We knew we were world famous in Tongariro New Zealand, but this morning we had 2 Thai policemen ask our driver if they could have their photo taken with us. We told them we would post the photo on our page,(they were very very happy about that) think they will be very disappointed when they can’t it on the person page they thought we were. Wasn’t going to try and correct them.

Thanks to the crews from Wanganui, Waiheke Island, Taupo locals and few from the Hawkes Bay. Very very enjoyable weekend, they filled our holiday park up with cool cars and people. And of course the weather gods that just finished it of with unbelievable weather.
