Today we celebrate the inaugural Airbus A380 flight from Sydney to Johannesburg – the first ever Superjumbo service between Australia and Africa.

The A380 will operate up to six times per week, nearly doubling our capacity with an extra 130,000 seats between Australia and Africa each year.

We have a rich history of flying to South Africa, having operated everything from Constellations and Super Constellations to Electras, 707s, 747s, 787 Dreamliners over the past 72 years, and now the A380.

Mentally I’m back here - Sicily 🥹
Physically I’m freezing back in NZ winter!
But we can dream.. if you want to know anything about travel to Sicily, reach out.

Going to Rome in the next 12 months or so?
Expect to see a lot of this…
I just left a couple of weeks ago and much of the city most famous monuments are under refurbishment. This means much of it is boarded up and you can’t get anywhere near. It’s not quite ready for the gram in 2024 😂
Navona, Pantheon, Trevi, and around the colosseum is experiencing major construction. They are doing the city up for a big anniversary in 2025 and therefore, a lot can only be seen behind a lot of fencing.
It’s not just the refurbishment too, it’s also the fact a new metro is going in, creating lots of road blockages.

It’s still beautiful, there’s really nowhere like Roma.. but it should be noted if you are going in the next 12 months, expect a bit of the above pics and a bit of delays in transport 👆
