Today we celebrate the inaugural Airbus A380 flight from Sydney to Johannesburg – the first ever Superjumbo service between Australia and Africa.

The A380 will operate up to six times per week, nearly doubling our capacity with an extra 130,000 seats between Australia and Africa each year.

We have a rich history of flying to South Africa, having operated everything from Constellations and Super Constellations to Electras, 707s, 747s, 787 Dreamliners over the past 72 years, and now the A380.

Physically I’m freezing back in NZ winter!

Going to Rome in the next 12 months or so?
Expect to see a lot of this…
I just left a couple of weeks ago and much of the city most famous monuments are under refurbishment. This means much of it is boarded up and you can’t get anywhere near. It’s not quite ready for the gram in 2024 😂
Navona, Pantheon, Trevi, and around the colosseum is experiencing major construction. They are doing the city up for a big anniversary in 2025 and therefore, a lot can only be seen behind a lot of fencing.
It’s not just the refurbishment too, it’s also the fact a new metro is going in, creating lots of road blockages.

It’s still beautiful, there’s really nowhere like Roma.. but it should be noted if you are going in the next 12 months, expect a bit of the above pics and a bit of delays in transport 👆

School holidays travel parking for Auckland International? Need to know details below…
I always book my customers parking too so if you need it, just let me know at the time of booking to secure it

As kiwis jet away for the September school holidays, many of our international carparks are now almost at full capacity!

Here’s what you need to know:

- International carparks are almost sold-out between 22nd - 24th and 29th - 30th September, with limited availability in self-park carparks or in valet.

- Domestic carpark online bookings are still available.

- For International travellers, an option might be to book a Domestic terminal carpark online and catch one of our free inter-terminal transfer buses running from the Domestic to the International terminal. If a walk is more your thing, enjoy the inter-terminal walkway between the two terminals indicated by the green line painted on the footpath. It’s approximately a 10-minute walk.

- Drive up parking spaces are limited, please consider other options to the airport such as public transport, Skydrive, ride share or taxi’s.

- If you are picking up someone and you need to wait, don’t forget about our wait zones – where you get 30 minutes to wait for your loved ones for free – we have two, each only a short drive from our terminals.

- As we experience higher passenger numbers transiting through our facilities, please allow extra time to get out to the airport and through the terminals.
