At The Rising Tide, the first venue on our Bay of Plenty Tasting Tour, clients have the opportunity to choose from tastings of gin. beer or cider, so a variety of tastes are catered to. We then travel to Rotorua & ascend via the Skyline Rotorua gondola to Volcanic Hills Winery's cellar door for a wine tasting, before returning for a cocktail & dessert at Salinity Restaurant on the Tauranga Harbour Bridge Marina. Paul enjoyed the company of two personable, interesting, very-well-travelled Americans, yesterday, who were loving their trip to New Zealand.

Yesterday, we had two delightful cruise-ship honeymooners from Australia on our Bay of Plenty Tasting Tour. The tasting tour is a great present for a wedding, thank you or birthday gift. It is also ideal for a Hens’ Party or special group celebration. If required, the trip can be altered to fit in Skyline Rotorua's Stratosfare Restaurant for a lunch or dinner & of course there’s always other options like The Sky Swing!

Paul had eight friendly Australians on our Bay of Plenty Tasting Tour on Thursday. It’s always fun having a group of Aussies & the amicable banter, always in good humour, is definitely a little bit more colourful when lubrication is progressively added.
On Friday, we had lovely clients from Canada & the US, really appreciative, interested, & easy to get on with.
One of our clients had a walker & it’s always great to see how supportive the staff are at Skyline Rotorua. They’re very solicitous & slow the gondola so that cabin entry is managed very easily with no stress for the client. This makes getting up to the Volcanic Hills Winery tasting room no problem at all. In fact, people often comment when going up on the gondola & looking at the superb view over Rotorua & the lake, “This is wonderful. We didn’t expect this.”
Two more happy days showing the sights & tastes of the Bay of Plenty NZ to wonderful clients! When we look at the international news, we count our many blessings.

The Bay of Plenty Tasting Tour seems to have intergenerational appeal. Paul had eleven participants last Thursday, two families, one originally from Iraq.
It was a day of lots of conversation & laughter & everyone enjoyed their tipples & food at Volcanic Hills Winery & Salinity Restaurant.
On Friday, we had a couple booked for the tasting tour but, when they disembarked, Paul discovered that they didn’t particularly like a variety of liquor. It was decided to do a “tiki tour” visiting a kiwifruit orchard, McLarens Falls Park, The Minden Look Out, the wonderful WhiteHouse, Te Puna for lunch & Sulphur Point Marina to get the view back to the cruise-ship
Again, a very happy, sociable day with lovely people, showing them our beautiful sights.

It's end-of-year celebration time. This afternoon Alan took a group from Scan Global to Matahui Distillery for a gin-making experience & this evening Paul has Tauranga Bartercard top clients going to JackDustys Ale House in Tauranga, Tipsy Putt, Hamilton & The Bank Bar and Brasserie, Hamilton. Great ways to finish a busy year!

We had another intrepid couple go on The Swing at the top of the gondola at Skyline Rotorua today when they did our Bay of Plenty Tasting Tour. The three-seated Skyswing hoists you 50 metres above Skyline Rotorua, Hanging from your harness, with the release in your hand, you decide when to make the drop! 150kph is reached!
Dom is back on leave in NZ & his friend is about to start a new job, so they took a few days away to relax & enjoy themselves.
