Air NZ & Return of The 777-300 Fleet

Air New Zealand’s 777-300 aircraft are set to return to the skies after 696 days: The carrier is bringing one of four aircraft back from storage in the Mojave Desert.
Four NZ 777-300s were sent to the Victorville storage facility in 2020, as the airline’s schedule shrunk.
However as demand bounces back quicker than expected, 777-300s are starting to come out of storage. NZ says it will take six to eight weeks to get the aircraft out of Victorville, as it will require cleaning, servicing and maintenance work. The first 777-300 aircraft, is due to leave Victorville in late Aug, bound for Auckland, where it will then have scheduled maintenance before finally re-joining NZ’s 777-300 operating fleet from late Sep. The biggest of NZ’s aircraft, the carrier says its return the 777s will bolster capacity by 342 seats on routes such as Auckland to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney, Melbourne and more.
I am looking forward to seeing this flying again...
