The island of Jamaica experienced a 5.6 magnitude earthquake yesterday…we are extremely grateful that our team and customers are all unharmed. The island experienced minor damages and for that we will be eternally grateful.

We were all taught how to react during an earthquake, however with all that knowledge many of us panicked yesterday.

Here 3 essential tips to remember when experiencing an earthquake.

📌 Drop, Cover & hold- it is advices to hide under durable tables and hold tight.

📌Avoid shelves and falling objects- falling objects and structures may cause injuries during an earthquake.

📌 Avoid staircases & elevators- there may be a power outage during an earthquake which may cause you to be stuck in the elevator. Staircases are unsafe as during a panic you may fall, get trampled, the stairway may even collapse.

Travelling as a group can be exciting and rewarding.

Here are a few top for beginners to group travel:

📌Ensure a deposit or full payment in done in advance.
❌last minute bookings for large group can be difficult and exhausting not to mention expensive.

📌Do not over pack
❌Can you imagine travelling with a large group with everyone having 4-5 pieces of luggage? It’s exhausting.

📌Create a budget that covers at minimum group accommodation, flights and group activities.
❌Without a budget you can not effectively plan as a group and some members may not be able to fully enjoy the trip.

📌Though it’s a group trip, you can plan some alone time for spa, breakfast etc.
❌It’s a group trip not a prison camp, just let them know where are you. Alone for a few hours to relax and rejuvenate is ok.

📌Be respectful, common courtesy and polite communication is key.
❌One person being mad can affect the entire trip.
