What a finale! On our way through #chobenationalpark to the Kazungula Border on the transit road, and look what we found - #africanwilddog.
Also know as painted dogs, these are one of the most endangered species in the whole of Africa. 🥰🥰

One of, if not, the best Bushman (San) experience I have had.
The San were the first inhabitants in Southern Africa and have survived for the past 20,000 years in this arid region.

We have just been in #HwangeNationalPark, #Zimbabwe and the waterholes are pumping with #elephants. It is incredibly, especially after the failed wet season last year, and so everyone is waiting for the first rains, which look promising as the clouds build up. 🙏

November is one of the hottest months in Southern Africa and wildlife viewings do not disappoint. 🦒🥰 This 'confusion' of #giraffe is at Ngweshla Pan, #HwangeNationalPark

#Botswana and #Zimbabwe - here we come ....
October is Botswana’s hottest month, before any hint of rain in November. Game viewing is easy during October as landscapes are clearer due to the grazed-down vegetation.
If you can handle the heat, travel to Southern Africa in October is rewarded with game viewing that ranks among the very best in Africa. Huge numbers of animals and their ever-attendant predators circle what water is left.
It's a great time to see the BIG cats in action. 🥰🦁🐾
Tanzania has done itself proud again at the World Travel Awards 2023, with the country’s tourist destinations winning several accolades in the African category of the #WTA. 🥰
There is a new award here this year; the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which borders Serengeti has for the first time also appeared in the World Travel Awards, winning the coveted ‘Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction,’ prize. 🥰

Lions are lethargic for the majority of their lives and spend about 20 hours of the day resting. So, it is a great feeling when you find active #lions to track. 🦁🥰

The Northern #Namib Desert in Namibia's Kunene Region is very dry, with less than 150mm of rain a year and periods of drought. This is where desert #elephants live.
Desert elephants are one of only two groups of "desert" elephants in the world (the other is in Mali, in North #Africa). They are not a unique species or subspecies of elephant. Instead, they are a "ecotype," which is a population that is different because it has adapted to this harsh climate through learned behaviours instead of genetic changes. 🥰🐘
